The passenger terminal at Saskatoon International has recently completed its extension work - doubling in size. (Phase I of the project included considerable expansion of customs area, with two baggage carousels for transborder & international arrivals, while at Phase II involved expansion of domestic arrivals carousels and adding a business lounge.)
Note:
The Arrivals level of the terminal houses Customs, baggage claim, baggage delivery, rental car and shuttle & taxi desks, a hotel reservation center, ATM, & currency exchange. As you enter, there are rental car counters and other facilities;
- to the left is the baggage claim with carousels 5 - 1 ((international 4 & 5, domestic 1 & 3), and arriving international & domestic passenger areas;
- to the right are the tickteting/check-in facilities. Beyond the ticketing area is the XE Quickstop, leading to the right to the ramp for the departure level (this area also has access to/from gate 1's ground loading aircraft). Arriving transborder & international passengers at either gates 7, 8 or 9, will proceed taking elevator/escalator down to Canada Customs.
- Customs & Immigration services are available for all non-domestic arrivals, and are staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency.
- Passengers heading for the departures level take the elevator/ escalator up to level 1.
The Departures level of the terminal houses check-in faciities (followed by the security checkpoint), Starbucks in the center, with access to the right to gates 3 and 2 and the ramp to gate 1; and access to the left to gates 4 - 7. Between gates 4 & 5 is a Relay store and Duty-free; opposite of gate 5 is Tim Hortons and Refuel.
