Southwest Florida International Airport RSW is located close to Interstate Hwy 75 and USR 41, southeast of Fort Myers, on Florida’s subtropical Gulf Coasts. It is a popular vacation destination with both American and international travelers. Due to its location it serves the greater Southwest Florida area, including Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva, Greater Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades, Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands as well as other points along Florida's Gulf Coast. Visitors can go from baggage claim to beach in under 30 minutes. All the region's attractions are within driving distance of the Airport. Southwest Florida Airport caters to more than 8 million passengers a year, making it one of the top 50 airports in the U.S. for passenger traffic. A host of major and minor airlines serve the airport with direct flights throughout North America and international flights to Canada and Germany, as well as connecting flights to all points of the world.

The Midfield Terminal Complex consists of a 798,000-square-foot two-level passenger terminal with 28 gates. Its amenities include a business center, ATM machines, currency exchange, shops, restaurants, bars & lounges. Five visitor Information booths are located on the departure level and in baggage claim area. The booths, staffed by tourism ambassador volunteers, are open daily 10am-10pm January-April, and 10am-6pm May-December. Each of the three Concourses (B, C & D) has a flight info screen. To pick up an arriving passenger from the Airport, use the free Cell Phone Lot. Stay with your vehicle until your party calls you for pickup at the curb. Other parking options are: Short-term parking at the Parking Garage across the terminal, and Long-term parking at the Surface Parking Lot beyond the parking garage.

To get from the Airport to your destination you have the choice of renting a car, taking a taxi or limo, or one of the shared-ride shuttles available on a pre-arranged basis--a list of such providers is located near the baggage claim area. LeeTran buses serve the Airport and run between 7am-9pm, offering rides to a transfer point located at Daniels Pkwy & US 41. Connections are availale from that point to the remainder of LeeTran's public transportation routes.
