Oklahoma Will Rogers World OKC Airport Overview
Oklahoma Will Rogers World Airport OKC is a medium-sized airport, named after Oklahoma native Will Rogers, who could be called one of the original frequent fliers due to his constant travels during his career as a down-home comedian and commentator on American life. Recently the FAA named the Airport 'Outstanding Oklahoma Airport', based on its recent undertakings to improve safety and efficiency.
The Airport is located six miles southwest of downtown Oklahoma City, in Oklahoma state, is directly accessible from Interstate Hwy. 40 (exit 145) and can be reached from I-44 (exit 116B Airport Rd. to Meridian Ave), and from I-35 (take the I-240 west, exit to I-44).
With four runways and an estimated 3.68 million passengers in 2012, Will Rogers World Airport is served by many major airlines and several regional jet carriers, offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

Rental car counters are located inside the passenger terminal on baggage claim level 1, rental car pickup is on level 1 of the Plaza.
To get from Will Rogers World Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, public vans, or a bus. The transportation Plaza can be accessed from the passenger terminal’s baggage claim level 1 via walkway. The parking shuttle bus and all public transportation are located at the Plaza.
1. The Metro Bus (405-235-7433 or gometro.org), Route 11, provides frequent bus service to the Meridian Avenue corridor and connects to downtown Oklahoma City. The bus stop is at the Transportation Plaza, accessed from the baggage claim level 1 of the terminal.
2. The Jefferson Bus Line (1-888-864-2832 or jeffersonlines.com), serves Chickasha, Lawton, OK, & Wichita Falls, & Ft. Worth, TX. Buses depart from East End of Transportatin Plaza, departing usually noon/early afternoon. Driver accepts cash only.
3. Greyhound (405-235-6425 or greyhound.com.) is located in the Union Bus Station at 427 W. Sheridan, in Oklahoma City.
4. MILITARY TRANSPORTS:
(a) The TimeLines Bus (405-74-8463 or 1-866-895-8463) to Ft.Sill Reception Center. Upon Airport arival, report to YMCA Military Welcome Center (405-680-9781) in Bay O of the Air Cargo Bldg. outside door nex to baggage claim 1. If you missed the last bus, call 1-888-435-7146 for option 1 instructions.
(b) The Soldier Express (580-678-3035) takes all AIT personnel to/ from Ft. Sill
