Passenger Terminal Layout of San Antonio International Airport and How to connect to other Terminals:

San Antonio International Airport has presently two passenger terminals - Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with a third terminal under construction between the two. Both terminals have ample food & drink establishments, as well as shops.

1. Terminal 1 of San Antonio International Airport is a two levels terminal, serving passengers of the following airlines: Aeromexico Connect, Aeromar, AirTran, ASA,Comair, Delta, Frontier, Mexicana, Skywest, Southwest, United & US Airways. (NOTE: Terminal 1 will be renamed ‘Terminal A’, when the new Terminal B opens in November 2010.)

(a) Level 1 of Terminal 1, in the Lobby, has an Information counter, a bank, an ATM machine & baggage carts located near the Travel center, with a food court and shops before & after the security checkpoint; elevators & escalators take you up to the ticket counters. Past Security are the two Concourses:
The North Concourse of Terminal 1
with gates 1 to 9, serves US Airways, AeroMexico Frontier, AeroMexico Connect and Southwest (gates3 to 7). The Concourse also has an ATM machine.
The South Concourse of Terminal 1 with gates 10 to 16, serves Delta, Mexicana/Aeromar, Delta/ASA, Comair, AirTran & United/Skywest (gates 15 & 16). The Concourse also has an ATM machine.

(b) Level 2 of Terminal 1 is for Baggage Claim and Customs & Immigration, and has elevators & escalators to level 1, an ATM machine, a rental car counter, a limo, taxi & bus desk, and ground transportation pickup outside the exit doors.

2. Terminal 2 of San Antonio International Airport is a one-level terminal, serving passengers of American, Continental & Continental Express airlines. (NOTE: This terminal will be replaced by the new Terminal B in November 2010. Also Terminal 2 is slated for demolition when a new Terminal C is to open in 2012 at this site).
The inner curb of Airport Boulevard is for passenger pickup. To the left of the entrance door are the baggage claims, vending machines, and baggage carts.  In the center hall is the Information desk, and to the right of it are the ticket counters, Chase Bank, an ATM machine and a food court with shops.
Behind the Information desk is the security checkpoint in the center. Past security, to the left, is a walkway to the USO facility with gates 39, 40 & 41 & outside of it a ground transportation pickup. Straight ahead after security checkpoint is the Concourse leading to an ATM machine and gates 30 to 37.
