    Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is located approximately 20 minutes from Savannah’s historic district and 45 mins/40 miles from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and can easily be reached via I-95 (Exit 104 to Airways Avenue) or I-16 East (Exit 157 to I-95 N). The Airport serves both the greater Savannah area in south-east Georgia’s Colonial Coast and the Low Country, and famous Hilton Head Island. As the regional names imply, the area’s historic charm is as plentiful as the Spanish moss draping over the limbs of its trees. In fact, Savannah boasts the largest urban historic district in the nation.

    With two runways, the Airlines serving the Airport primarily operate regional jets offering nonstop flights to many destinations and connections. Delta Connection offers the most daily flights. The passenger terminal is a small yet modern facility with a spacious main hall. On the upper level is the Passport Cub, ATM machines, airline counters, and the Savannah Square which, along with the Concourse, hosts food, drink and shopping concession. On the lower level you find the rental car desks, taxi information booth, baggage delivery services, an ATM, a 'Pay as you Go' parking fee automat, Low Country/Greyline and the City Bus stop. If you need to pick up an arriving passenger, use the free Cell Phone Lot on Aggat Drive--stay with your vehicle until your party calls you to be picked up at the curb. Hourly and Long-term parking is available at the four-level parking garage across from the terminal; Economy parking is at the two-level deck and surface lot behind the garage; Oversizzed parking is adjacent thereto, and valet pickup & dropoff is on either side of the terminal; Rental Car lots are to the left and right of the terminal.

    Greyline Airport Express offers scheduled air-conditioned vans and mini buses to Bluffton and Hilton Head Islands, making eight stops along the way. Pickup starts at 3am and Airport departures start a 9:15 am. (Tel: 1-800-845-5582). CAT buses run daily to/from the airport with service to many Savannah area locations (Tel: 912-233-5767). CAT Teleride is a door-to-door transportation service available to eligible disabled persons in Chatham County (Tel: 912-354-6900). Yellow Cab has a handicap accessible taxi available (Tel 912-236-1133--request cab 14).
