Providence T.F. Green Airport PVD can be a welcome alternative to crowded Boston Logan Airport. Travel & Leisure magazine has named Green Airport as one of America's Best. Estimated travel times are from New Haven 110 minutes, from New London 59, from Boston 71 & from Worcester 73 minutes. Warwick's new 'Interlink' intermodal facility has a garage and offers various transportation options, including MBTA commuter rail services to/from Green Airport's passenger terminal.

The Airport is located in the town of Warwick, and is merely a 10-minute drive from the capital city of Providence, in the State of Rhode Island. Situated on Post Road, it is conveniently accessible by the Airport Connector Road leading to nearby Interstate Hwy I-95 (Exit 13). The InterLink, an intermodel facility located in Warwick (with convenient parking garage) connects people with MBTA commuter rail, intercity bus, consolidated rental car facility and a 1,200 foot enclosed skywalk to the Airport.

With two runways and an estimated 3.8 million passengers in 2012, Providence Green Airport is served by major airlines and several regional jet services and vacation charters, offering muliple destinations in the U.S. with connections around the globe, and seasonal service to the Bahamas.  During the summer season, Cape Air offers frequent flights to/from Martha's Vineyard / Nantucket. 

NOTE: United offers an e-Boarding pass reader at the security checkpoint and in the gate ares - simply hold phone or mobile device up to e-Baording pass reader for scaning barcode.

The two-level passenger terminal at Providence Green Airport, has airline gates in the North & South Concourses. NOTE: moving walkways take you from the terminal via the skywalk, into the Customer Service Building (with rental car counters), which is connected to the Garage. The garage has the train platform on its sub-level.

Rental car agencies have now desks in the Customer Service Operations (CSO) building, east of the tracks and next to the six-level parking garage, and can pick up their rental car inside the adjacent garage.

To get from Providence Green Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi or limo, a shuttle, a bus or a train:
1. Use the Terminal's Skywalk to Warwick's 'InterLink' - a new intermodal facility located at 700 Jefferson Blvd., in Warwick - (from I-95, take exit 13 at its exit ramp, turn left: onto Jefferson Blvd; the entrance to the InterLink parking garage is to the right), connects people with MBTA commuter rail, intercity bus, a consolidated rental car facility and a 1,200 foot enclosed skywalk to the Airport.  The InterLink  has now an information kiosk with a large TV screen for traffic conditions & a touchscreen for rental car, hotel, train & other travel information. 

2. Service between the Airport and downtown Providence: Airport Taxi;  The Providence shuttle from Airport Limousine; RIPTA Bus to Kennedy Plaza (with connectionto Greyhound, Peter Pan/Bonanza or RIPTA buses throughout the state, and the Providence train station--which offers connections to Amtrak & more MBTA commuter trains); and Peter Pan Buses.

3. MBTA commuter rail service between Wickford Junction, the Airport, Providence, & Boston (and points along the way) offers 20 weekday stops on the Providence/Stoughton line. Trains depart  to Providence/South Station  about 10 times a day.
The Kennedy Plaza or Providence Stations take you to:
(a) Boston - via MBTA commuter rail, Amtrak, Peter Pan bus or Greyhound;
(b) Cape Cod - via Peter Pan bus;
(c) Groton/New London - via Amtrak or Greyhound;
(d) New Haven - via Amtrak, Peter Pan or Greyhound
(e) Worcester, MA - via Peter Pan.

Future Airport Developments: 
In October 2012 it was announted that the Airport is to be upgraded over the next five years.
