Main Terminal / Concourses at Albany ALB Airport
The 3-level passenger terminal at Albany International Airport has at the ground level outside six access lanes: Lanes 1 & 2 are for dropoff; lanes 3-4 are for through traffic; lanes 5-6 are commercial lanes. Six walkways span across the lanes leading to the parking garage. Taxi, hotel vans, limos & Park & Fly buses use the isle stops between Lanes 5 & 4. CDT & Adirondack Trainways are located at the leftt orner of the terminal.
The Ground level 1 is the arrivals level with baggage claim, airport shuttle pickup to Lot E, rental car desk & ATM machine. An Information desk is in the center, while airline ticket counters are to the right.
Level 2 is the departures level, the core of which offers food & drink & retail concessions, and after security check, leads to three gate areas A, B & C:
Gate Area A is for United & Cape Air; reached after security check to the left, with gates A3-A6, while A1 & A2 (Cape Air) are one level down, reached by escalator.
Gate Area B is for US Airways and Delta; reached after security check - straight ahead, passing food courts on either side, continuing straight to gates B5-B11, or taking the escalator down to gates B1, B2 & B4.
Gate Area C is for Southwest & Air Canada; reached after security check to the right, with gates C1-C3.
Level 3 has a conference room, military courtesy room, art gallery, some offices and public observation area.
Amenities and services inside the terminal: Information center staffed by volunteer Ambassadors, banking, currency exchange, business center, meeting rooms, Wi-Fi access, customs, interfaith chapel, mail center, sky caps and carts. Several hotels are close-by and offer free shuttle services.
Military Personnel who may become stranded at Albany Airport, can take advantage of free overnight hotel accommodations offered by BBL in cooperation with the J.McKenna IV Military Courtesy Room located on Level 3 of the terminal.
