I booked a ticket from Dallas to South Korea and it will stop at SFC for 3 hours before transferring from Virgin Air to Singapore Air. Because my flight is an international connecting flight, will my baggage transfer straight to Korea?

If you purchased your tickets together then your bags will be checked through to Korea. Otherwise you will have to claim them from Virgin America and re-check them with Singapore.

  • O'Hare to Amman

I am meeting a tour group at O'Hare, which is our hub airport, for a 9:30 pm flight to Amman. However, my flight from New Orleans to O'Hare is scheduled to arrive at 9 am. Royal Jordanian's ticket counter doesn't open until 4 pm. I'd rather not carry my large suitcase around the airport for seven hours. Do I have another option?

There are no storage Lockers. You could ride the Blue Line into the city with your luggage and hang out at a coffee shop or something.

    Thanks

  • Long LAX layover, domestic to international with luggage question

I have a 9 hr layover in LAX and do not want to leave the security area as I have a meeting in a Airline Club. I Arrive on United from Austin at 1200 hrs, but Fiji Airways will not accept my checked luggage till 3 hrs before their departure at 2130 hrs. Can I just leave my checked bags in United's baggage claim till 1800 hrs and then pick it up to head to the International Terminal?

You could probably do that, but there's a chance some of it could go missing or be hard to find later.

  • YYZ to MSP to SEA to ICN

I am Canadian, flying to Seoul from YYZ(Toronto) to MSP(Minneapolis) to Seattle(SEA) to Incheon(ICN). Will I have to claim my luggage in Seattle and go through custom again? Layover is about 1 hour 15 minutes for each flight. and all by Delta. is that enough time?

No, you will not. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto and won't have to do anything with your baggage again until you get to ICN when you will go through Korean Immigration and Customs. You should have enough time.

    thank you!

We will be traveling to bangkok via Emirates. We live in Detroit Area. Is there a service that would pick up my luggage at home and deliver to ORD somewhere near the Emerites checkin area? Or at least in the same terminal? We have four 50 pound suitcases and I don't want to lug them between terminals. I don't want to check them in Detroit either. They don't have interline agreement.

There is no such service. You should either give up on your plan to bring 200 lbs of baggage to bangkok with you or seek another option for getting to ORD (such as driving).

I will be buying a bottle of duty free whisky at Gva - my flight arrives at Newark and then have a connection to Nashville - can I carry the whisky as hand luggage on my flight to Nashville

No, you cannot. You have to put it in your checked baggage or mail it to yourself in Newark.

Hi, I believe I have left my phone, a Blackberry Q10 and 3 paintings contained in a bamboo sleeve at the airport prior to my onward flight to Dubai at approx 12:30 am on the 13th of September. Could you please let me know if these have been returned, or who would be the best person to speak to regarding this matter. Kind Regards and Thanks, Stuart Alcock

This is not the airport's website.

Sorry, could you possibly point me in the right direction? I find this site a little difficlut.... Thanks

http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/en is the official website of the airport.

  • "Baggage Service Office"

What is the phone number for the "baggage service office" at O'Hare International? My bag was delayed a day coming in from AMS. A claim report was already made according to KLM, but their site did not provide a reference number. It only told me to contact the baggage office. (No one was at the KLM desk on the other side of Int'l Customs).

  • how to make the transfer

Hi Im arriving from mexico city to HIA in aeromexico to take a connection flight in turkish airlines to istambul , i have 3 hours between flights is that enought to go throught custums, get out of security go to counters of turkish airlines and get my ticket to the secund flight all the tickets are in a single E ticket so is the airlines in mexico supposed to give me all the tickets and i just go to recheking or do i really have to get out of security and go to the counters

IAH has a system where passengers on a single international->international itinerary often do not have to claim their baggage to go through US Customs. However, Aeromexico does not connect many passenger at IAH so they may not know about it. However, they will tag your bag through to IST. You likely will not have to claim it in IAH, but if you do you should be able to re-check it immediately after clearing customs. You will then still have to go through security. I'm not sure if Aeromexico will be able to issue your Turkish boarding passes as they are not in the same alliance. If they can't you will have to go to the Turkish counter anyway before going through security. Everything will be in Terminal D. You should have enough time, even if you have to do all those things, but you will have very little time to spare.

  • location of bag wrapping machines

Could you plz tell me exactly where those bag wrapping services are located in the domestic terminal in ATL? Near where should I be looking if flying ATL - IAD on Delta. Thanks!!

Baggage wrapping services are usually in the ticketing area, or close to the security checkpoint - just ask an attendant. Note that Delta uses the South Terminal for ticketing & check-in (enter by doors S1-S4) and all Concourses/ gates T and A - D. Your ticket & the overhead screens inside the terminal will indicate which gate your flight will depart from.

I highly doubt there is bag wrapping in the domestic terminal, nor do you need bag wrapping on a domestic flight.

I am continuing on to an international flight so I need the wrapping as one of my bags may not make it in one pc.

Got to the airport & was informed that the wrap service area had been replaced by IHOP. The porter(?) was kind enough to wrap bag with tape at counter. Easy $10 for her! :) :)

  • Connecting to DUS

I am arriving from ATL with a 1 hour connection in AMS before flying to DUS. Will this be a sufficient amount of time? Will I be claiming/rechecking bags through customs in AMS or when I arrive in DUS?

You won't do anything with your bags in AMS. You will just go through security and schengen passport control when entering Pier B for your flight to DUS.

  • Rechecking Bags from International Arrival

Family arriving LAX on Asiana. Not sure what terminal yet. Where do they recheck their bags for Southwest on a different reservation?

They will arrive in the International Terminal. They will have to take their bags with them to Terminal 1 to check with Southwest as Southwest does not have interline baggage agreements with any other airlines.
