I have two reservation codes: one for my domestic flight to PHL and another for my flight from PHL to Doha. Does this mean I have to collect my luggage in PHL and check it again for the flight to Doha?
You can show your Qatar reservation to the AA agent in Knoxville and ask that your bags be checked through to Doha, but they aren't required to. If they don't, then, yes, you will have to claim and re-check your bags in Philadelphia.
Thank you.
My son will be flying to JFK from France with extra luggage that he will not be able to take on bus. Does JFK have a service that will ship luggage home?
I don't believe there is such a service at the airport.
Hello, I have a flight from MSP to Raleigh, NC with a connection in Newark. I am planning on getting off the flight in Newark and not going to Raleigh. Does anyone know if United Airlines will allow you to check your bags to your connecting city and not the final destination?I only have a one hour lay over, so I'm not sure if they will let me or not.
No, if you want to do this you'll have to not check a bag.
I am flying from Puerto Vallarta Mexico to dalas landing at night time leaving the next morning to go to New York do I have to take my bags or does it fly through
In DFW you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags and go through US Customs. You will likely then have to re-check your bags the next morning.
Hi. I have a flight from Medellin and then a connecting flight to London. It is self transfer, and I have 3 hours to collect and check in bags, plus any time for Visa if that will take up any. Is this enough time?
What country are you a citizen of? You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
The info in iFly needs to be changed as baggage charge in UNITED for international travel has changed. I have flown with UNITED for long time and when traveling to Mexico first checked in baggage was free as this site informs. Now, they will charge 25 dollars for the first checked in baggage to Canada, Mexico and Central America! Unbelievable and so unfair! Thanks for reading!
I have checked in 2 bags in United Airlines from Memphis Airport with Tag No 0016 192318 & 0016 192319 .As the Aircraft is very small they have asked me to handover the Cabin baggage for returning before my exit from Aircraft at Chicago Airport. They took the cabin baggage from more than 15 passengers like me and handed over the same at the time of coming out from the Aircraft.
I was told by the staff that due to space problem inside the Aircraft I need to handover the cabin baggage also .

At Chicago Airport my name was announced at the counter and I was asked whether I have checked in 3 bags . I showed them my Cabin baggage and the 2 Tags 0016 192318 & 0016 192319 .
My CARRY ON LUGGAGE with Tag No UA 7016 163199 contained CLAIM LUGGAGE AT GATE UPON ARRIVAL .The officer concerned has modified the same in the computer at the Time of Boarding . I asked him whether I was set he said you are all SET and you can go .

out of the 2 bags the Tag No 0016 192318 bag was not received by me till now even after 4 days.

This is not United or Chicago O'Hare's website. Nobody here can help you.
Hi everyone !
I have a flight from Montreal to Tokyo with United and Layover in Washington D.C IAD airport for 1 hr 30 min . Do I have to go through immigration / Clearance in Washington ? is 1 hr 30 min enough ? what should I do with my luggage ? both flighs are with united though ! I'd appreciated if you guys give me some info ..
Thanks a bunch !
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in IAD is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
thank you
I have flight from Manila to Toronto under Philippine Airlines, but has a connecting flight from Vancouver to Toronto under WestJet Airlines.

Do I have to get my baggage in Vancouver? Or will the airlines take care of transfer, and I will be able to get my baggage directly in Toronto?

Thank you!
Yes, I believe you will have to claim your bags in Vancouver to go through Canadian customs. However, check with Border Canada once there.
Hi, I will be flying in from Tel Aviv to EWR. I am not sure of the terminals yet. Once I go through customs I then need to hop on another flight to Nashville. That flight was a seperate booking from the first flight. Will I have to recheck my bag after customs? If so, do I have to go back to the front to recheck it? I greatly appreciate your help.
Yes, you will have to take your bag to the check in desk of the airline you are flying to Nashville to re-check it, unless both flights are on United and you show your Nashville confirmation to the agent in Tel Aviv and get your bag tagged to BNA. In that case, you can re-check your bag at the re-check desk right after clearing customs.
Yes, both flights are on United so I will definitely request that in Tel Aviv. My plane lands at 5:20 and my connecting flight is 8:00. Even if both customs and security are long is that still enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time.
