Hello. I am traveling to Lima (Peru) 13th of December with a layover in Atlanta of 3 hours. Can you explain me the procedure?
Do i need go somewhere for take my bagage and check them in again myself? Its my first time i fly with a stop so i want be prepared as good as possible :)
On your way to Lima you don't have to do anything with your bags in Atlanta if both flights are on the same reservation.
Im flying on the 11th November on american airlines, flight London to Miami 2 hour layover then Miami to san jose, do i need to collect my bags and re-check in, will i make it through immigration?
Since this is an international to international connection all on AA through MIA, no you won't have to claim and re-check your bags in Miami. Just go through US Immigration, customs, and security. You have just enough time.
sorry i forgot to mention my first flight is with british airways from Manchester to london, then the following two are with american airlines will i have to collect my bags at london again i only have a 2 hour window
Hi, do I need to pick up my luggage in Toronto even though my final destination is Thunder Bay? Im flying from Sydney to Los Angeles to Toronto and then Thunder Bay.. Plss help me.. Thanks
You will have to pick up your bags in Los Angeles but will not in Toronto.
I bought tickets from chicgao Ohare - london with British airways. I have to buy a separate ticket from Sioux Falls to Ohare with united or American Airlines (this way it was a lot cheaper). If I buy with American or United do they check luggage all the way to London. If it doesn't work, how close (Geographically) are the baggage area and lugggage check in Ohare terminal 3 and 1.
You will have to claim your bags in Chicago to take them through US Customs regardless of what airline you fly to Sioux Falls. If you book on American, British Airways will likely tag your bags through to FSD though, so you can re-check them right after customs in the International terminal and won't have to pay a checked bag fee. I would still want at least 2.5 hours for your connection.
I have an American Airlines flight from JFK to SYD via LAX — my plane arrives into Terminal 4 at LAX from JFK and I leave for SYD from the same Terminal. Will I need to collect my checked baggage and re-check them in at LAX? Or will they automatically be transferred to the next flight as both flights are with the same airline?
No, you do not have to do anything with your bags in LAX on your way to Sydney. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
I am flying from Atlanta to heathrow on Delta and can't figure out if I check in at the domestic terminal or the international.
You check in at the International Terminal.
I am planning a flight from Vancouver to Chicago. The stop over is only 1 hour in Chicago. Is US customs / visa done in YVR and will that leave me enough time in Chicago?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Chicago, assuming all flights are on the same reservation, is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. That is enough time.
My flight is to Dammam,Saudi Arabia from Salt Lake City, I will be arriving on a Southwest Flight at 12:25 p.m. The Saudi Airlines flight is at 3:00, do I have enough time to get my bags, and them make it through security? Does the airport have any porters to help transport me, and my bags from terminal 1 to the international terminal?
Southwest does not transfer bags to or from any other airlines, so yes, you will have to claim your bags, take them to Terminal 1, and re-check them with Saudi. There are no prters.
Fly from Seattle on Alaska AS474 to LAX, then Qantas QF12 to Sydney, Australia. One booking, but two airlines, do I need re-check luggage? We have 2 hours in LAX.
No, you don't have to re-check your bags. Just walk through the tunnels through T5 to T4 and then the connector building to the TBIT.
Flying AA Vancouver BC to Puebla Mex. do i need to pick up my bags in Dallas? Thank-you.
No, you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Vancouver and there is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security.
