  • terminal 5 to tom bradley terminal

Hi there, i'm travelling from Sacramento to LAX and I have a connecting flight to Paris. I arrive in LAX at 12.35 pm at terminal 5 and depart for my second flight at 3.30 pm in TOM BRADLEY INTL terminal. Im just wondering the steps I have to go through to get to my second flight. Including my baggages (i have three and im alone). I must claim my baggages or no? Thanks for all the help!

If both tickets are on the same reservation you don't have to do anything with your baggage. You just have to take the tunnel to T4 and then the new walkway to the International Terminal (it's all inside security). If you have two separate reservations, then yes, you will have to claim your bags and then take them to the TBIT and re-check them and go through security. Either way you should have enough time.

My luggage was delayed one day in Venice. It happens. Promised to deliver from airport to hotel in Venice. Did not. Promised to deliver to cruise terminal. Did not. Promised to come to the ports. Did not. Retrieved after ten days by us. It just sat in Airport and no response to emails and not answering calls.

I still don't have mine and it's been 12 days! Alitalia lost mine when we were flying from Rome to Zurich. VERY FRUSTRATING!

I'm planning to go to Orlando (MCO), from Jakarta (CGK) via JFK with Cathay Pasific. My ticket is on the same reservation. Should I claim my baggage in JFK? Which terminal should I go to ?

If everything is on the same reservation then you won't have to do anything with your bags at JFK. Cathay Pacific departs from Terminal 7. Since you didn't post what airline you are flying to JFK I don't know what terminal you will arrive in.

I'm flying to JFK from HongKong also with Cathay Pacific. Do I go through immigration in JFK or MCO ?

Sorry, I misread your post. In JFK you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and then if your flight to Orlando is on American, take the AirTrain to Terminal 8, go through security and to your departure gate.

Hi all, we are flying to Rio in a few weeks and have a 24 hour stop over at JFK. We plan to leave the airport and explore New York! But what do we do with our baggage, is it automatically put in the next flight or so we have to collect it and store it somewhere? Thanks, Sarah :)

24 hours is so long that you will have to claim it and store it somewhere. There are services that can pick it up from the curb at JFK and there is also a luggage storage place near Penn Station if you take the AirTrain/LIRR into Manhattan.

If I am flying from Florida to Dallas then Dallas to Tokyo and then Tokyo to Okinawa...at what location will I need to get my bags ? Dallas or Tokyo ?

If all flights are on the same reservation you won't see your bags again until you get to Okinawa.

I am flying from toronto to maimi to grenada will I need to recheck my luggage? can I leave airport? 6 hr layover

If both flights are on American you don't have to do anything with your bags in Miami. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. Yes, you can leave the airport if you want but you will have to go through a long security line when you return.

My luggage was remain at Telaviv air port on April, 06 2016 ( It did not sent to Ethiopia) What can be the reason? is there any mess at the Telaviv airport? / what?????, but I did not expect such thing at Jerusalem / Esrael. I saw carelessness on Ethiopian Airlines for customer case even if the only way to communicate with any external airport is through them. If you have any information.... Thanks,

  • Port of Spain to Calgary

Good day, I am traveling to Calgary from Port of Spain with a stop over in Houston. I booked my flight with United but the flight from Houston to Calgary is being operated by Air Canada? Will I need to collect my bags and go through customs with them and the drop them off?

On International to International connections on United through Houston, but I'm not sure what happens if the outbound flight is operated by a codeshare partner and frankly, you won't get a straight and knowledgeable answer on that by either United or Air Canada.

  • Do I need to collect luggage and clear customs?

Hi I'm flying in from Manchester UK to Toronto Pearson and then on to Windsor, Ontario with like a 6 hour layover. Do I have to collect my luggage, clear customs and then recheck in in departures? Or is there an interconnecting flight desk for this?

    What airlines are you flying?

    Air transat and air Canada

Since you purchased two separate reservations you will arrive in Terminal 3, go through Canadian Immigration, claim your bags, and go through customs, then you will have to take the terminal link train to Terminal 1, re-check your bags with Air Canada, get your boarding passes, and go through security.

AA allows 50#, Alitalia allows 17.5#. I want to carry on both flights. Do they weigh the bags in brindisi? How much over will they allow /-?

  • Iberia to Zurich; American to JFK with a snag
    Jun 30, 2016

I am flying to Zurich RT on American. I plan on staying an extra 2 weeks and I'm flying Iberia R from Zurich to Barcelona as Iberia is a partner with American Airlines. Here is the "snag." On my return flight to Zurich, Iberia has contracted with Veuling for that morning flight. Vueling's policy is you must retrieve your bags and recheck them. My question is has anyone else had this issue with a contracted flight? in addition, I have 1 1/2 hrs before my flight for the states leaves. Is that enough time at this airport on a Saturday morning at 8:30 am to get off the plane, get my bag, check in at American, go through security and get on board before they close the door? What do you think?

yes, that will be difficult. You might want to fly back on the Vueling flight the day before.
