Does anyone know the weight or size restrictions for a garment bag on Air Canada flight. Need to carry 3 bridesmaid dresses and shoes on connecting international flight
They'll probably make you check that.
Would that be due to weight or size? If it was one dress and shoes could it be carry-on? I can't find info on any websites for garment bags
Probably both. Yes, usually one dress they wouldn't mind you carrying on and a pair of shoes you could fit in your purse.
Awesome ~ thank you for your help ZAP.
International from FCO to YYZ through YUL all AC flights 2 hour layover. Will I collect baggage in YUL and go through customs before connection; or will baggage forward direct to YYZ to clear customs at final destination
Barring any unusual issues your bags should go through to Toronto.
Thank you ZAP
Hi please assure me! I'm flying from Manchester UK into EWR (on good Friday) and there is 1hr20 minutes to get to my connecting flight (both flights united airlines and same booking) which is taking me to TAMPA in Florida. Is there anything I can do??
That is well below the minimum recommended connection time for international to domestic in Newark. You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, likely change terminals on the AirTrain and go through security. This will be a very difficult connection to make and if you miss your connection it will be hard to rebook you because you are traveling on a very busy day.
Hi my daughter if flying from madridmto Charlotte with stop in philly. Does she collect her bags and go through customs in philly? We live in Nj and would love to pick her up in philly otherwise she has to book a flight from Charlotte to Newark
Yes, in Philadelphia she will have to go through US Immigration, claim her bags, and go through US Customs. If the flight to Charlotte is the last one on her reservation, she could then leave the airport in Philadelphia.
When returning from Buenos Aires - Argentina do I have to claim my baggage at ALT and then check baggage in for TPA destination? or will bags travel from Buenos Aires to the final destination Tampa? thank you
In Atlanta you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse.
I am flying AC from Heathrow to YVR but get a connecting flight in Calgary. Do I have to get bags in Calgary and go though customs in Calgary and then take domestic back to YVR or will bags go to final destination and customs happens at YVR
Immigration and Customs will occur in Calgary, but if both flights are on the same reservation you should not have to get your bags unless something unusual happens.
I am travelling from Anchorage, Alaska to Tampa, FL. My first flight is on Alaska Airlines with my connecting flights both being on United Airlines. Will Alaska Airlines check my bag through to it's final destination? These flights were booked on one reservation.
Note: I have layovers but they are only 1 hour 30 mins at SEA and 1 hour 1 min at IAH.
Yes, your bags should be checked through to Tampa. You have enough time for both connections.
Thank you SO much! This takes so much anxiety/stress away! (:
Hi, I'm traveling with family of 2 children under 4 years old my wife , and I. Departing from Qatar to JFK terminal 7, then from JFK to Det through delta airline. My concern is how to get our 6 baggages transfers from terminals . And weather they provide special service for transportation people with their baggage from terminals
There is a train called the AirTrain that runs between all terminals outside security. You will have to carry your bags on that.
Luggage didn't make it on my klm flight from Amsterdam yesterday Filed a report and no one can answer when this will be delivered and baggage services doesn't answer the phone. Any suggestions
Are there baggage carts or skycaps available at international baggage claim to the car rental center? we are arriving on emirates
There should be baggage carts in the International baggage claim. However, you have to take a bus from T4 to the rental car center. It's a difficult walk that I don't recommend.
