  • ATL layover to LA
    Apr 2, 2016

Traveling from Buenos Aires to LA with a layover in ATL on April the 3rd and just under 2 hours between flights after arriving at 6AM, I'm aware that I have to go through Customs and Immigration and wait times can be a pain. Should I be worried about missing my next flight while waiting for immigration processing?

You should have enough time. Especially with the early morning arrival. If you do miss your connection, Delta flies lots of flights from Atlanta to LA.

Thank you for the answer, that's a relief. I'm now trying to determine if 1 hour is enough for my flight back from LA through ATL. No need to fill paperwork or wait in lines but I do have to do some moving across the airport using the tram and it sounds a little tight considering the size of the place.

Hello! My flight arrives in Terminal C and my connection is in terminal A. My layover is 52 minutes. Will I miss connecting flight?

That's plenty of time. C is connected to A by a short underground tunnel.

How can I find out what gate my flights will be arriving to and departing from? Do I have to wait until I actually check in to find that out? I'm not flying until June but would like to know how far the gates are from each other at each stop.

How long is the wait time for flights from Terminal C to Cancun on Monday March 14 leaving at 7:45 am? We were told there is a long wait time at security.

Yes, on Monday mornings security lines can be long. I would recommend arriving to the airport at around 6 AM.

  • Layover 1.5 hrs from international flight

I have 1.5 hrs layover in SEA from Hongkong before heading off to Edmonton, Canada. Is this enough time? I understand that I have to pass immigration and customs before go to domestic flight terminal. Thank you.

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You barely have enough time if everything goes perfectly and all flights are on the same reservation.

  • RETURN TICKET
    Mar 8, 2016

I am going to Dubai with a round trip ticket. Since I will be originally coming from Norfolk, Since my visit will be for 2 months or more I am planning to book a one way ticket only from Norfolk to IAD (where I will have my flight to Dubai). Since I have experience booking a round trip and again re-booking it again and again because of weather and business cancellation, I just thought that it will be more practical and less expensive if I book one way to IAD and book the return once I have finalized my itinerary. My question is this: Will Norfolk and IAD Airport will require me to have return ticket on hand since it is only a visit and I should be expected to return. Please advise. Prompt response is really appreciated.

No airport requires you to have a roundtrip ticket. Additionally, there is no US Immigration, Customs, or passport control when leaving the US. You will just show your passport to the Emirates gate agent when checking in and boarding your plane.

Thanks ZAP, it is a relief to know. Best regards

I'm not familiar with "Wart Airlines" - that's a fairly unappealing name for an airline.

I would like to get a package sent to the airport post office. Is it possible? If so what address should I use? Is there a contact email I can inquire to? Thank you

No, that would not be possible.

  • Clearing customs and getting to Greyhound bus station

I arrive at LAX at 22:45 (terminal 2) and leave to San Francisco at 1:45. Is 2 hours 40min time enough to make it from the plane to Greyhound Bus station before 1:45 (which is the time the bus departs from the station). Also, what are the best ways to move from the airport to that specific bus station?

Where are you flying into LAX from? Is it International or Domestic? Have you considered just flying to San Francisco from LAX? It doesn't cost much more than a bus.

  • Connecting flight (international - Belgrade - Rome - Tokyo)

Hello, I will be arriving at Terminal 3 from Belgrade, Serbia at 13:40 and will be departing from Terminal 3 to Tokyo, Japan at 15:20. I have 1 hour and 40 minutes from one to another. Is it enough? What is the procedure? As far as I know I will have to go through Passport Control and security check, is that right?. My baggage should be checked in at the Belgrade airport for Tokyo, so I suppose I won't have to go and pick it up and check it in again. How big is the distance between arrivals and departures at T3? Anyone with the similar experience? Thank you in advance for answering.
