Flight Connection AdviseJun 15, 201320Hi I am arriing at Terminal 3 FCO Rome from Doha at 7pm, and departing Florence on Alitalia from Terminal 1 at 9.25 pm.Do I have enough time to go to the Luggage Hold at ground Level of International Arrivals and deposit my 2 bags for hold and catch my flight which includes check in and security. Also returnng back after 2 days from Florence by Alitalia at terminal 1, at 8.15am, and take a flight from terminal 3 at 10.30 am, but need to pick the luggage from luggage hold and than go to terminal 3 for check in and security etc.Do I have enough time both ways. All advises will be highly appreciated.Thanksismposted on Thu, Jun 13On arrival at FCO, at Terminal 3 (T3) you will need to go through 'Non-Schengen' passport control, then proceed to get your bags & take them to the Handling Agent's office for safe-keeping; then proceed (if you don't have a boarding pass yet) to check in with Alitalia, go to the departures level and security check, and thereafter follow signs to (Terminal 1) 'Boarding Area B' (gates B1-30). 2.5 hrs transfer time can be very tight as this is now high tourist season. year.thjun13posted on Thu, Jun 13

Is 40 mins enough time?May 30, 201320I arrive in Terminal 2 (gate F7) and am scheduled to depart from gate B14 in Terminal 1, 40 minutes later. If flights are on time is that sufficient time to make the connection?T2 to T1posted on Thu, May 30What airport? ORD? If so that's enough time if your first flight is on-time and you don't waste any time.ZAPposted on Thu, May 30

You did not specify your arriving Airport. Therefore, I suggest you open www.ifly.com, enter the name of your arriving airport on top, and then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 22

First time flyerOct 18, 201213I'm flying from WV to Charlotte airport with a brief layover before departing from Charlotte to Fort Lauderdale FL on a domestic flight. My question is do I have to go through TSA again at Charlotte before boarding on my flight to Fort Lauderdale?Keith428posted on Wed, Oct 172 people like this post [ Like ]Charlotte Douglas Airport has one large passenger terminal with Concourses and corresponding gates A through E, all of which surround the main terminal. You can walk from one Concourse to the next - no need to go through security check. Look on arrival at the overhead screens to find your connecting flight number and gate; then follow signs.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 181 person likes this post [ Like ]

International/changing airlinesAug 10, 201230Please help this first timer: I will fly out of Chicago to Zurich, then to Johannesburg, changing airlines each time. I have a 12 hour layover in Zurich. Will I have to claim my bags in Zurich? I was told that I would not need to touch my bags at all until I got to destination... Will I have to go through customs in each country or just in Chicago. How about on the return trip? Same questions... Same cities... Thank you so much for the help!Acts4:12posted on Thu, Aug 9Forgot to say: Orbitz said all three airlines I am flying (United, Swiss and South African) have a "baggage agreement". Is this right? Can I trust Orbitz?Acts4:12posted on Thu, Aug 9Your first order of business would be to inquire at your airline leaving Chicago, if it will transfer your bags automatically on arrival in Zurich to your departing flight to Joburg - if not, you need to claim your bag and go to 'left baggage' for temporary keepsake. In Zurich you need to go through passport control & 'non-Schengen' (foreign) procedure. Enjoy your day in Zurich, making sure you allow enough time to return at least 55 mins (for possible baggage retrieval and re-check-in prior to next departure. On your return from Joburg, you need again to go through non-Schengen at Zurich and at Chicago through U.S. customs procedure (passport check, picking up bags, & going through Customs clearance. I suggest you read up on terminal/ transfer details by opening www.ifly.com/zrh (or jnb (Joburg) or ord (Chicago) and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text.fraug12posted on Fri, Aug 10

need helpJul 16, 201212arriving from amsterdam delta 4,25 to connect delta 7,15 to anchorage what have i to do?annaposted on Sun, Jul 152 people like this post [ Like ]As a general rule, all international arrivals at the US (including US citizens) need to go through passport control, pick up luggage, go through customs clearance and re-check in their bags where indicated. Your time to do so, and to connect to possible other terminals in the Airport is adequate. Keep in mind that in most airports airlines are assigned to certain terminals /concourses /gates. I suggest you open www.ifly.com; then enter on top the Airport you arrive at; enter, and then select "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS - under the map are details about terminals, transfers, etc.mojul12posted on Mon, Jul 16
