During my last USA holidays, I was travelling from Zurich to Chicago and had to catch a connecting flight. I was worried I would not make my connecting flight, with going through immigration, getting and re-checking luggage and changing terminals so I only had a carry-on suitcase and was able to use the one-stop transfer. Result - I made it through immigration in less than 10 minutes! You also bypass the whole luggage retrieval area and come out in the arrivals hall. And this during a Friday afternoon, holiday week-end. One-stop is the way to travel!
Hi, I am traveling to Boston on Delta arriving at 7:45 p.m. Then I am departing on Aer Lingus at 9:00 a.m. I am switching airlines and am wondering if I will have enough time to get from the Delta gate to the Aer Lingus gate. Is there a security line to go through?
I'm guessing you depart at 9 PM? Yes, you will have to go through security again. With checked bags this is impossible. With no checked bags this is barely possible if everything goes smoothly.
I am a Canadian citizen and a citizen of a visa-exempt country (dual Canadian citizen) flying with Air Canada, from HKG to YYZ, since i'm going to have a transit at YVR, do I need to prepare for any visa or the eTA? am I allowed to enter YVR with my visa-exempt country passport or must I use my Canadian passport due to the new Bill C-24? and what kind of security process am I going to go through once I landed to YVR? Also, what kind of security questions would the officer asked me?
No if you enter on your Non-Canadian passport you need to do eTA. If you enter on your Canadian passport, you obviously don't. I Seen no reason not to enter on your Canadian passport.
I received 2 $100 vouchers on United for some flight problems. I am flying from PVD airport to Chicago O hare from 9:30 to 11AM for free with my voucher. From there I will have to go to baggage claim, pick up my bags and check in for my flight to Beijing at 12:50. I have an hour and 50 minutes to exit the plane, get my bags, check in my bags, run through tsa, run to the terminal for my flight. Will I make it?
That's just enough time if everything goes perfectly. If both flights are on United then you can show both reservations to the agent in Providence and you should be able to get your bags checked through to Beijing.
Yeah I was not sure if that was possible to have my bags checked in Providence to Beijing. That would save me a ton of time! Thank you so much
