We are flying United Toronto to Chicago with a 1hour layover and checked bags before flying to Seattle. Will we need to recheck bags and go through US customs in Chicago? Or is 1hour enough?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Chicago is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Which terminal to LaGuardia does United fly out of?
United does not fly to Houston-Hobby airport. They fly to Houston-Intercontinental. Flights from Houston-Intercontinental to LaGuardia would almost always depart from Terminal C.
Thanks for the reply
I am going to Doha from Dallas and I am going to reach Dallas before 90 minutes of flight so is it enough time for transit luggage claim and check in next flight?
Where are you flying into Dallas from? Are both flights on the same reservation or are they two separate reservations?
I am flying to Dallas from Queretaro Maxico by AA and going to Doha by Qutar Airways
Then that is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Can i fly to dallas love field from denver international airport with my mexican consular id
No, a Mexican Consular ID is not acceptable identification to go through security. You need to use your Mexican passport if you do not have a US drivers license.
During my last USA holidays, I was travelling from Zurich to Chicago and had to catch a connecting flight. I was worried I would not make my connecting flight, with going through immigration, getting and re-checking luggage and changing terminals so I only had a carry-on suitcase and was able to use the one-stop transfer. Result - I made it through immigration in less than 10 minutes! You also bypass the whole luggage retrieval area and come out in the arrivals hall. And this during a Friday afternoon, holiday week-end. One-stop is the way to travel!
I'm have a flt fr Sg transit in sfo to Toronto.. Just wondering do I need to clear custom and emigration and do I need a US visa? To do the trasit in sfo?
Pls advise, thanks
You will go through US Immigration and Customs in SFO. Whether or not you need a transit visa depends on your citizenship. What is your citizenship?
Hi, I am traveling to Boston on Delta arriving at 7:45 p.m. Then I am departing on Aer Lingus at 9:00 a.m. I am switching airlines and am wondering if I will have enough time to get from the Delta gate to the Aer Lingus gate. Is there a security line to go through?
I'm guessing you depart at 9 PM? Yes, you will have to go through security again. With checked bags this is impossible. With no checked bags this is barely possible if everything goes smoothly.
I am a Canadian citizen and a citizen of a visa-exempt country (dual Canadian citizen) flying with Air Canada, from HKG to YYZ, since i'm going to have a transit at YVR, do I need to prepare for any visa or the eTA? am I allowed to enter YVR with my visa-exempt country passport or must I use my Canadian passport due to the new Bill C-24? and what kind of security process am I going to go through once I landed to YVR? Also, what kind of security questions would the officer asked me?
No if you enter on your Non-Canadian passport you need to do eTA. If you enter on your Canadian passport, you obviously don't. I Seen no reason not to enter on your Canadian passport.
Delta charged their schedule and I now have 35 minutes to connect between domestic flights. Is this enough time? Thanks
It's possible - it obviously leaves no time to spare if there's a delay.
I received 2 $100 vouchers on United for some flight problems. I am flying from PVD airport to Chicago O hare from 9:30 to 11AM for free with my voucher. From there I will have to go to baggage claim, pick up my bags and check in for my flight to Beijing at 12:50. I have an hour and 50 minutes to exit the plane, get my bags, check in my bags, run through tsa, run to the terminal for my flight. Will I make it?
That's just enough time if everything goes perfectly. If both flights are on United then you can show both reservations to the agent in Providence and you should be able to get your bags checked through to Beijing.
Yeah I was not sure if that was possible to have my bags checked in Providence to Beijing. That would save me a ton of time! Thank you so much
