I fly out of Newark on 4/1/16. I would like to know is baggage check and security check point in the same level. I'm flying first class. Is pre check for security in the same area?

  • Connecting Flight and Customs
    Mar 22, 2016
Hello! I'm looking at a flight that comes in on United from Japan at 11:00 AM on a Saturday. I'm looking to catch a flight at 1:10PM on Southwest. Will I be able to make it if I dont have any checked bags? I know I have to clear customs when I arrive.

With no checked bags that's probably possible if you are already checked in for your southwest flight and everything goes perfectly. It's risky.

  • Changover, Virgin Atlantic to Delta
    Mar 22, 2016
I am changing flights from 15:05 off of Virgin Atlantic, and getting on a Delta flight at 16:58. This was bought in one ticket with Virgin. How do I connect? Is it easily marked and will I have to pick up my checked bag? I was told I wasn't as it will be transferred for me to my end destination (LA). Thanks,

You will arrive in Terminal 3, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate in concourse D via an underground train. You should have enough time.

Thanks, so will the train be quick? Is it after I've checked in my bags and after security?

Yes, it is after security. Yes, it is pretty quick.

going from Charles DeGaulle to Seattle, connecting to Honolulu on Delta. Have global entry and ktn # in profile so should get TSA pre for flight to HNL. When check in at CDG, will they give me boarding pass for the HNL leg showing TSA pre? That will help going thru security in SEA after clearing customs.

AFAIK, There is no precheck line at the special security checkpoint for transiting international passengers, so while it will be on your boarding pass, it won't help you.

  • layover
    Mar 7, 2016
was wondering if 50 minutes was enough layover in Minneapolis st paul for connecting flight to mbs in michigan

If the first flight is on-time, then yes, that should be enough time.

  • Connection flight :)

I'm flying from Nashville BNA to SFO. Then SFO to Incheon ICN. There will be just under three hours to transfer. I have two questions! 1. Is that enough time to transfer? 2. Will we need to get our checked baggage and take them with us and check them in again? Thanks!!

Yes, you have plenty of time. If both flights are on the same reservation then all you have to do in SFO is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Estimated Timing from flight arrival to Jamaica Station
    Feb 25, 2016
I'll be taking my first international flight on Emirates from Milan, arriving into T4 at 19:00. What is a reasonable timeframe to fetch luggage, clear customs, and catch the AirTrain in order to schedule a meetup at the Jamaica train station?

I imagine that you'd be at the Jamaica station somewhere around 20:15 or 20:30

  • MSP from domestic to international
    Feb 1, 2016
How long to change from a domestic from Tucson to an international to Amsterdam? I only get 53 min connections, is it possible?

Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from Tucson is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in the Lindbergh Terminal.

  • Concourse C to South Satellite
    Jan 24, 2016
I will be arriving at Concourse C from Alaska Airlines and have to reach South Satellite to depart from Emirates. I have a layover of 1hr 45 mins. Is this time enough? Two more questions. Will it be a thru checkin and I will not pick my luggage again. Last..Do I need to go through security as I might not go out of airport. Thanks !!!

If all flights are on the same reservation then you can go directly to your departure gate, no security or anything with your bags.

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I have all my tickets on the same reservation meaning I booked the tickets together from emirates site.

Then yes, you have enough time.

How long should you allow to connect from a caribbean country to a flight to the US including customs

2 hours if one one reservation and 3 hours if two separate reservations.

  • arriving and departing at same terminal in 50 minutes
    Jan 12, 2016
we are arriving from Calgary at terminal C and departing to Guatemala from terminal C. Would that be right?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. Your flight to Guatemala will depart from Terminal E.

  • Arriving from EWR at 2E & Departing 2F for LIN
    Dec 19, 2015
We arrive 2E from EWR (Air France) and have one hour to get to 2F for our flight to LIN (Alitalia). We both have EU passports and can get through shorter line. What are odds both us and our bags make it onto the flight for LIN?

    That should be enough time.
