Aeroflot Pet Policy

Aeroflot, the national airline of Russia, understands that pets are important members of your family and offers various options for traveling with your furry friends. Here is everything you need to know about Aeroflot's pet policy.

If you plan to travel with your pet on Aeroflot, it is important to make a reservation in advance. Aeroflot requires at least 36 hours notice for transporting pets. Due to limited space, it is recommended to contact them as soon as your travel arrangements are confirmed to guarantee a spot for your pet. You can get in touch with the Aeroflot Contact Center at (866) 879-7647.

Aeroflot allows small pets, including dogs, cats, and household birds, to travel in the cabin on select flights. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Each passenger can bring one carrier onto the flight. However, if you have several animals of the same species, they can be transported in the same carrier as long as their weight does not exceed the maximum limit. The pet fee for animals traveling in the cabin is 75 EUR for international flights and 61 EUR for domestic flights.

Guidance, Tips, & info on Airlines and Airports

If your pet exceeds the weight limit for cabin travel, they can be transported in the hold instead. Pets and carriers traveling in the hold must weigh less than 110 lbs (50 kg). If you are traveling with multiple pets in separate carriers, you will be charged for each pet separately. The fees for traveling with a pet in the hold are 92 EUR for international flights and 61 EUR for domestic flights.

For customers who need to transport their pets separately or have animals that exceed the weight limits, Aeroflot Cargo provides a solution. You can contact Aeroflot Cargo by phone at (+8) (499)-755-2-555 or by email at [email protected] for more information.

When traveling with your pet, it is important to ensure their comfort and safety. For animals traveling in the cabin, the maximum dimensions for hard-sided carriers are 49" (125 cm), while soft pet carriers can be up to 53" (135 cm). Carriers should have ample space, be secure, and properly ventilated. The bottom of the carrier should be solid, waterproof, and covered with a non-toxic absorbent material.

For animals traveling in the hold, carriers should be rigid and shock-resistant. They should also be large enough to allow the animal to stand up, turn around, and lie down in a natural position. Good ventilation is essential for pets traveling in the hold.

Keep in mind that air carriers can change their pet policies at any time, so it is always recommended to check directly with Aeroflot before you book your flight for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
