British Airways: Aircraft Fleet
British Airways is one of the largest airlines in the United Kingdom and has a fleet of over 250 aircraft. The airline operates a mix of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, with the majority of its fleet being made up of Airbus planes.
The Airbus A320 family is the backbone of British Airways' short-haul fleet, with a total of 67 aircraft in service. The airline also operates 12 Airbus A380s, which are used on long-haul routes to destinations such as Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Johannesburg. In addition, British Airways has 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are used on both short and long-haul routes.
British Airways has made significant deals in recent years to upgrade its fleet. In 2013, the airline placed an order for 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, which are due to be delivered in the coming years. The airline has also placed an order for 12 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, which are due to be delivered from 2020 onwards.
