Caribbean Airlines Pet Policy

Caribbean Airlines understands that pets are an important part of our lives, and they strive to accommodate them as best as possible. While pets are not permitted to fly in the cabin with their owners, there are options available for traveling with your furry friends.

If your pet meets the weight and size requirements, they can fly as checked baggage with Caribbean Airlines. The combined weight of your pet and carrier must not exceed 70 lb (32 kg). For domestic flights in Trinidad and Tobego, there is a fee of $3 TTD per kilogram. For all other routes, the fee is $150 USD.

For animals that are too large to travel as checked baggage, they can be transported as cargo. To find out more information about this option, you can contact the Caribbean Airlines Cargo Team at (+1) 268-480-5728.

Guidance, Tips, & info on Airlines and Airports

It is important to note that there are specific requirements for carriers when traveling as checked baggage. The linear dimensions of the carrier must not exceed 115" (292 cm), and the length should not exceed 75" (191 cm). Additionally, carriers must be IATA-approved and large enough to allow your pet to stand up, lie down, and move around comfortably inside.

Keep in mind that air carriers can change these policies at any time, so you should always check directly with the airline you are traveling on before you book, for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
