It is owned by the government of Abu Dhabi and operates out of its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport. On average, Etihad Airlines operates around 1,500 flights per week, with an average passenger volume of more than 17 million per year. The airline has been recognized for its exceptional service and has won numerous awards, including the World Travel Awards for Middle East's Leading Airline and World's Leading Airline.
As of the most recent data available, Etihad Airlines reported revenues of over $5 billion, making it one of the largest airlines in the Middle East. The airline has a fleet of more than 100 aircraft, including the Airbus A380, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and Boeing 777.
