Jeju Air History

Jeju Air is a South Korean low-cost airline that was established in 2005. It is the first and largest low-cost carrier in the country, offering domestic and international flights to various destinations.

The airline was founded with the aim of providing affordable air travel options to the Korean public, particularly to the popular tourist destination of Jeju Island. Jeju Air initially operated with a single Boeing 737-800 aircraft, serving routes between Seoul and Jeju Island.

Over the years, Jeju Air expanded its fleet and route network, becoming a prominent player in the Korean aviation industry. The airline introduced more Boeing 737-800s and later added the larger Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to its fleet. This allowed Jeju Air to offer flights to international destinations, including Japan, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Jeju Air's commitment to providing affordable air travel has made it a popular choice among budget-conscious travelers. The airline has gained a reputation for its punctuality, reliability, and friendly service. It has received several awards and recognitions for its performance and customer satisfaction.

As of now, Jeju Air continues to expand its operations and improve its services. The airline has plans to acquire more aircraft and further expand its route network to meet the growing demand for low-cost air travel in the region.
