Malaysia Airlines Partnerships & Alliances
Malaysia Airlines is a member of the oneworld Alliance, having joined in 2013. This partnership allows Malaysia Airlines to offer its passengers access to a global network of destinations and seamless connections with other member airlines.
As part of the oneworld Alliance, Malaysia Airlines has codeshare agreements with several other member airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways, Japan Airlines, and Qantas. These codeshare agreements allow passengers to book flights with one airline and travel on multiple airlines to reach their final destination, often with the convenience of a single check-in and baggage transfer.
In addition to its oneworld Alliance membership, Malaysia Airlines has several other notable partnerships. The airline has a joint venture with Japan Airlines for flights between Malaysia and Japan, allowing the two airlines to coordinate schedules, pricing, and marketing efforts. Malaysia Airlines also has a codeshare agreement with Emirates, allowing passengers to connect to Emirates flights from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai and beyond.
Furthermore, Malaysia Airlines has a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines, allowing passengers to connect to Turkish Airlines flights from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul and beyond. The two airlines also cooperate on frequent flyer programs, allowing passengers to earn and redeem miles on both airlines.
Malaysia Airlines' partnerships and alliances provide its passengers with a wider range of destinations and seamless travel experiences. Whether traveling within the oneworld network or connecting with partner airlines, Malaysia Airlines' passengers can enjoy the benefits of a global network of airlines.
