At Sun Country Airlines, we understand that pets are an important part of your family and we want to make sure they can travel with you comfortably. Here is everything you need to know about our pet policy.
Pet Reservation Info: To ensure that your furry friend has a spot on board, it is important to reserve a spot as soon as possible after your travel plans are confirmed. You can contact Sun Country Airlines Reservations at 800-359-6786 to make a reservation for your pet.
Pets in Passenger Cabin: We are happy to welcome pet cats and dogs in the cabin on select flights within the United States. However, please note that pets are not allowed on international flights or flights to/from Anchorage. Each passenger is allowed to bring 1 pet and carrier on a flight. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should be less than 16 lbs (7 kg). The fee for a pet traveling in the main passenger cabin is $125 for each flight segment if booked in advance. If the 4-pet limit for the cabin hasn't been reached, the fee for a walk-up booking is $199.

Pets as Checked Baggage: Unfortunately, Sun Country Airlines does not accept pets in the cargo hold. Your pet must travel in the passenger cabin with you.
Allowed Weights & Dimensions: For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 16" x 11" x 8" (40 cm x 28 cm x 20 cm). The carrier must be soft-sided, have a leak-proof bottom, be well-ventilated on at least 2 sides, and allow your pet to stand up and move around comfortably. Your pet must remain inside the carrier stowed underneath the seat in front of you during the entire flight.
Restrictions & Limitations: Emotional support animals are allowed on board, as long as you fill out the required form that can be found on our Sun Country Airlines Guide.
