TAROM: Aircraft Fleet
TAROM, also known as Transporturile Aeriene Române, is the flag carrier airline of Romania. The airline operates a fleet of modern aircraft that serve both domestic and international destinations.
The TAROM fleet consists of 23 aircraft from various manufacturers. The airline's fleet includes 6 Airbus A318-100, 4 Airbus ATR 42-500, 2 Airbus ATR 72-500, 4 Boeing 737-300, 2 Boeing 737-700, and 5 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
One of the significant deals that TAROM has made regarding aircraft is the purchase of four new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The airline plans to use these new aircraft to replace its older Boeing 737-300 and Boeing 737-700 aircraft, which are less fuel-efficient and have higher operating costs. The new aircraft are expected to be delivered in 2023.
TAROM's Airbus A318-100 aircraft are used primarily for short-haul flights, while the Airbus ATR and Boeing 737 aircraft are used for both short and medium-haul flights. The airline's Boeing 737-800 aircraft are used for long-haul flights to destinations such as New York, Beijing, and Dubai.
