Viva Aerobus Pet Policy
Are you planning to travel with your furry friend? Viva Aerobus understands that pets are an important part of the family, and they have policies in place to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for both you and your pet.
If you want to bring your pet in the cabin, Viva Aerobus allows a maximum of 3 pets on board. To secure a spot for your pet, contact the Reservations Team at (888) 935-9848 as soon as your travel plans are confirmed. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 1 pet per passenger.
Small cats and dogs weighing up to 22 lbs (10 kg) can travel in the cabin. Your pet must remain inside their carrier throughout the journey. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed the limit. To guarantee your pet's spot on board in advance, the cost is $825 MXN for domestic flights or $1,100 MXN for international flights. If you prefer to add the service at the airport, the cost is $1,020 MXN for domestic flights or $1,320 MXN for international flights.

For larger dogs weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg), Viva Aerobus allows them to travel as checked baggage in the hold. The carrier size should not exceed 125" (319 linear cm) to ensure the comfort and safety of your pet. It's important to note that the carriers for pets traveling in the hold need to be rigid.
When traveling in the cabin, the dimensions of the carrier must not exceed 16" x 12" x 8" (40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm). This ensures that your pet has enough space to turn around, lie down, and move comfortably. Additionally, the carrier must be lined with absorbent padding to prevent any leakage.
There are some restrictions and limitations to keep in mind. Pets that appear to be in poor health or distress will not be allowed to travel in the cabin. Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned. Snub-nosed animals are not permitted on Viva Aerobus flights.
