Marrakech Menara Airport RAK is an international airport located close to Marrakech - the capital city of the Marrakech / Tensift / El Haouz region off Morocco, northwest Africa. It is one of the 13 most beautiful airports in the world -  while 'Skyteam' classified it in Fall 2017 as being 'the most beautiful airport in the world, due to its new terminal'.

Under the 'Renewed Marrakech' project 2014-2017, the aim was to make Marrakech an international tourism destination.  It includes cultural heritage, urban transport, integration, and peservation of the environment. It includes many historic monuments, city walls and the old Medina districts.  The intent is to create a city of popular arts, a Heritage Museum, conservatory, Moroccan water culture museum, 2 hospitals , 2 health car centers and 18 educationsal institutions.  The project included a new air terminal & restore Air Station 1, its infrastructure and associated structures. 
   Part of this endeavor was the  Airport's new Terminal which opened late 2016, doubling Airport capacity to 9M passengers annually

With a long runway and an estimated 3 million passengers a year, Marrakech Menara Airport is hub to Royal Air Maroc and is served by many regular and low-cost European airlines with direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

The passenger terminal complex at Marrakech Menara Airport consists of two small terminals under one roof, which were recently upgraded,  and the new and breathtaking separate Terminal.  - While the small two terminalsoccupy an area of 42,000 square meters and were designed for only 2.5 million passengers - the separate new Terminal,  which opened late 2016 covers an area of 60,000 sq.meters and has three levels. It houses separate areas for long- and medium/short-haul flights, and includes the new Oasis Lounge.
