PSP International Map & Guide

This page is dedicated to providing information about the International Terminal at Palm Springs Airport. You will discover details about the terminal's layout, amenities, and how to navigate the open-air design that connects the Sonny Bono and Regional Concourses.

International Terminal Info & Layout

The International Terminal at Palm Springs Airport is an integral part of the airport's operations, primarily handling international flights. This terminal is part of the airport's unique open-air layout, which connects passengers to the two main concourses: the Sonny Bono Concourse and the Regional Concourse. Together, these concourses offer a total of 19 gates.

The Sonny Bono Concourse, named after the late singer and former mayor, features 8 gates (Gates 4–11) equipped with jet bridges, making it suitable for larger aircraft like the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 family. This concourse is elevated and accessible via an outdoor escalator and walkway, shaded by a designer roofline. Amenities here include a full-service restaurant, a golf pro shop, and two newsstands.

The Regional Concourse, known as Gates 12–20, is located on the south side at tarmac level. It accommodates smaller aircraft such as the Embraer ERJ and Bombardier CRJ, with 11 gates available. Six of these gates can handle larger aircraft, including the Airbus A321, if necessary. Boarding is facilitated by ramps or airstairs, and the concourse offers a restaurant, a newsstand, and restrooms. A fountain is also situated near the entrance.

Travelers can access the International Terminal directly from the main building, which is connected to the airport's road network via Tahquitz Canyon Way and Kirk Douglas Way. After passing through security, passengers enter an open-air courtyard that leads to the concourses. This courtyard features a full-service restaurant, a coffee shop, and restrooms, along with a children's playground and a pet relief area.

One of the unique features of the Palm Springs Airport's International Terminal is its open-air design, allowing travelers to enjoy the pleasant climate while moving between concourses. This design, along with the airport's convenient amenities and services, makes it a noteworthy stop for air travelers.
