The village of Viseisei at Vuda Point, a 20-minute drive from Nadi Airport, is witness to a historical event which took place 350 years ago, when the first Fijians arrived there with their canoes.
Nadi Airport is located on the western side of Viti Levu island - 10 km from the town of Nadi, or 20 km from the town of Laukota - and is near the famous Denarau Island - home to world-renowned hotels (Sheraton Fiji, Sheraton Villa, Westin, Hilton, Trendwest, Sofitel, Raddison and the Mariner at Port Denarau).

With 2 runways and an estimated annual passenger count of 1.4M, a host of international & domestic airlines serve Nadi Airport, which is hub to Air Pacific, with direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe, while AirFiji and Pacific Sun offer flights to Fiji's other airports (Nasouri, Savusavu, Lambasa, Taveuni, Kadavu, and more).
The passenger terminal at Nadi International Airport has now completed its overhaul: The departure check-in area now offers natural light, as the ceiling was raised by 7 meters; also 4,000 sq.meters of floor space were added. There are now 36 check-in desks. A Cafe and a Burger King are available at pre-security, while the departure lounge at post-security offers world-class duty-free brands for food, drink & shops. This area also offers Fiji Airways' VIP lounge with spa facilities, as well as a prayer room. The Air New Zealand lounge is undergoing refurbishment.
With the opening of the new baggage claim hall at arrivals, the terminal upgrades have been completed.
Two internet kiosks are located at the international departures check and in the domestic terminal. Hotspots are available throughout the terminal.
Baggage storage is available on level 1, Arrivals.
Note that Transfer passengers whose connection is scheduled more than six hours are requied to exit Immigratin & Customs and enter Fiji.
As of early September 2016, all services relocated to the new check-in terminal.
Internet kiosks are available at Domestic terminal, Farewellers Hall, International Departures lounge and in the Arrivals Concourse. Hotspots are also located thoughout the Domestic Terminal and International Arrivals & Departures. You have the option of using your credit card or purchasing an internet card from various stores in the Terminal.
The ground level near the terminal entrance houses a Domestic Departures Check-in area and an International Departures Check-in area. At the very left side is a cafe, luggage storage room, restrooms/showers, & ANZ ATM machine. The center of the ground level houses Domestic Arrivlas baggage, luggage wrap service VAT refund, Western Union, cafes, fast-food, shops, Immigration & an elevator. To the right of the ground level are a number of duty-free shops, & VIP lounges.
The second level of the terminal houses duly-free shops, a Government VIP Lounge, toilet/shower facilities, ANZ bank currency exchange, a restaurant & bar, a cafe and some shops.
Airline lounges at Nadi International Airport: Air Pacific's new Tabua Club Lounge is for its airline customers and all paying passengers - located on the ground level of the Departure Hall - to the left of Air Pacific's Premium Business Lounge. The Fiji Airways lounge is past duty-free shops, turn right, and take elevator or stairs down - all clearly marked.
