Cayman Airways: Aircraft Fleet
Cayman Airways is the flag carrier airline of the Cayman Islands, headquartered in George Town. The airline operates a fleet of six aircraft, serving destinations in the Caribbean, the United States, and Central America.
The Cayman Airways fleet consists of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft, two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, and one Saab 340B+ aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 is a narrow-body aircraft manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes, while the Boeing 737 MAX 8 is the latest and most advanced version of the 737 family. The Saab 340B+ is a regional turboprop aircraft manufactured by Saab AB.
In 2018, Cayman Airways made a significant deal with Boeing to purchase two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, becoming the first airline in the Caribbean to operate this type of aircraft. The airline also signed a lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation for one additional Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
