Online check-in & baggage payment

You can reserve your seat & print your boarding card 24 hours and up to 2 hours prior to scheduled departure, unless you have special requirements. If you have excess baggage you can either check them in at the airport or, while booking your flight, prepay at a reduced rate (up to 25%) online at 'autocheck-in'. However, overweight baggage will have to be dealt with at the Airport's check-in desk.

Carry-on Baggage Rules & Fees

1. The carry-on bag must not exceed 50x40x20cm or a total of 115cm, inclding handle, pockets & wheels. It must fit into the measuring device at the Airport's check-in area, and either under the seat in front of you or into the overhead bin. Oversized bag will be taken from you at the boarding gate. 2. You are allowed one carry-on bag and one personal piece (handbag or briefcase; coat, cape, or travel rug; umbrella or walking stick; 1 pair of crutches; a camer/small video camera or a pair of binoculars; a laptop computer; a nursery bag with baby food. 3. The number of pieces allowed depend on class traveling in: (a) Economy Tourist: 1 bag, 1 accessory; however, if itinerary includes a flight operated by American or British Airways, one piece of baggage maybe be taken at the gate for storage in the airplane's hold at no extra cost. For Germany, the max. weight allowed for hand luggage is 8 kg. (b) If traveling on IB7XXX or IB5XXX, IB4XXX flights or those operated by airlines other than Iberia / Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, check your onboard allowance with that airline.

Checked Baggage Rules & Fees

1. Checked bags cannot exceed 158cm, which is the linear dimension derived from height, length & width. Exceptions: musical instruments, TV cameras, etc. 32kg-45 kg, may be allowed with an excess weight charge of EUR 150 (except Iberia Plus clients). 2. For tickets issued with resident discount in The Canaries, Balearics, Ceuta & Melilla, excess weight will be 15 EUR for first bag, other than for the IB500 series flights. 3. No bags in excess of 32kg is accepted, and a maximum of 10 pieces in addition to free allowance are permitted; exception: Africa destinations other than Johannesburg permit only one extra piece. Bag allowances are according to long-haul and short/medium haul flights. 4. Codeshare airlines and Oneworld members may have different rules - after booking your flight you will see details regarding the operating airline at 'bookings management' of Iberia's website.
