Lufthansa Partnerships & Alliances
Lufthansa, with IATA code LH, is a member of the Star Alliance since May 1997, which is the largest global airline alliance. As part of this alliance, Lufthansa has partnerships with 26 other airlines, including United Airlines, Air Canada, and Thai Airways, among others. This allows Lufthansa to offer its passengers access to a vast network of destinations around the world.
In addition to its alliance membership, Lufthansa has several codeshare agreements with other airlines, such as Air China, ANA, and Singapore Airlines. These agreements allow Lufthansa to offer its customers more flight options and destinations beyond its own network.
Lufthansa also has notable partnerships with other airlines and corporations. For instance, it has a joint venture with United Airlines and Air Canada for transatlantic flights, which allows the three airlines to coordinate schedules, pricing, and sales. Lufthansa also has a partnership with Eurowings, a low-cost subsidiary, and a codeshare agreement with LATAM Airlines, a South American carrier.
