Oman Air History

Oman Air is the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, headquartered in Muscat. It was established in 1993 and has since grown to become one of the leading carriers in the Middle East region.

The airline began its operations with just two aircraft, serving regional destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo. However, with a strategic vision to become a global player in the aviation industry, Oman Air expanded its fleet and network over the years.

In 1997, Oman Air introduced its first wide-body aircraft, the Airbus A310, allowing the airline to offer long-haul flights to destinations in Europe and Asia. This marked a significant milestone in the airline's growth and positioned it as a key player in international travel.
