Pakistan International Airlines, also known as PIA, is the national flag carrier of Pakistan. With its IATA code PK, the airline operates both domestic and international flights to over 50 destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America.
PIA is owned by the Government of Pakistan and has its corporate headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan. The airline also has secondary hubs at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore and Islamabad International Airport in Islamabad.
As of the most recent data available, PIA has around 14,000 employees. On average, the airline operates around 100 flights per day and carries an average of 7 million passengers annually.
In terms of revenues, PIA reported a net loss of PKR 47.8 billion (approximately USD 300 million) in the financial year 2019-20.
