Royal Jordanian Airlines Partnerships & Alliances
Royal Jordanian Airlines is a member of the oneworld Alliance, a leading global airline network. The airline joined the oneworld Alliance on April 1, 2007, becoming the first airline from the Middle East to join one of the three major global alliances. Being a part of the oneworld Alliance has extended Royal Jordanian Airlines' reach, allowing its passengers to benefit from an expanded network that covers over 1,000 destinations worldwide. This integration has allowed Royal Jordanian to offer a seamless experience to its passengers, particularly those on international routes, with reciprocal benefits such as shared frequent flyer programs and lounge access across the alliance's member airlines.
Along with its oneworld Alliance partners, Royal Jordanian Airlines maintains codeshare agreements with a number of airlines. Codesharing is a business arrangement where two or more airlines share the same flight, allowing an airline to book its passengers on its partner carriers’ flights as if they were its own. This extends Royal Jordanian's network reach and provides greater convenience to its customers. Its codeshare partners include, among others, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and American Airlines. These partnerships enable Royal Jordanian passengers to travel to numerous destinations across the globe with ease and flexibility.
In addition to its alliance and codeshare partnerships, Royal Jordanian has also formed a strategic partnership with Tunisair, the national carrier of Tunisia. This agreement allows both airlines to strengthen their competitive positioning in the market and optimize their flight schedules, benefiting passengers with more convenient connections and increased flight frequencies. Furthermore, Royal Jordanian Airlines has also collaborated with corporations outside of the aviation industry. For instance, it has partnered with telecom companies such as Zain Jordan, providing exclusive offers and discounts to their mutual customers, which adds further value to the customer experience.
