Viva Aerobus History

Viva Aerobus is a Mexican low-cost airline that was founded in 2006. The airline is based in Monterrey, Mexico, and operates flights to various domestic and international destinations.

Since its establishment, Viva Aerobus has grown rapidly and become one of the leading low-cost carriers in Mexico. The airline was created as a joint venture between Grupo IAMSA, one of Mexico's largest bus transportation companies, and Irelandia Aviation, a global low-cost airline developer.

Viva Aerobus started its operations with a fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft and initially focused on providing affordable domestic flights within Mexico. The airline aimed to cater to budget-conscious travelers and offer them an alternative to the more expensive full-service airlines.

Over the years, Viva Aerobus has expanded its route network and fleet. The airline now operates a fleet of modern Airbus A320 aircraft, which allows for increased efficiency and passenger capacity. Viva Aerobus serves numerous destinations in Mexico, including popular tourist destinations such as Cancun, Mexico City, and Tijuana.

In addition to domestic flights, Viva Aerobus also offers international flights to destinations in the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean. This expansion has allowed the airline to attract a broader customer base and provide more travel options for its passengers.

Viva Aerobus has gained a reputation for its low fares and no-frills approach to air travel. The airline offers a range of fare options, allowing passengers to choose the level of service and amenities that best suit their needs. By keeping costs low and focusing on operational efficiency, Viva Aerobus has been able to offer competitive prices while maintaining a high standard of safety and reliability.
