ABZ Airport is located about 7 miles northwest of the city center of Aberdeen, and can be accessed via A96 motorway (Aberdeen-Inverness).
With an extended runway and yearly 3.4M passengers, Aberdeen International Airport is base for BMI Regional & Eastern Airways, and is served by a host of domestic and international airlines offering many direct flights to destinations in Europe and the Middle East, with connections around the world.

Arriving passengers need to clear passport control and Customs. UK and foreign currencies are available at Travelex in the Arrivals area. The official meeting point is in the Arrivals area, near domestic baggage claim. You can also meet at Wetherspoons, Costa or The Kitchen for food & drink.
To get to the city, the quickest way is to take the taxi (or walk) to the railway station located 2 miles from the terminal; the train ride to Aberdeen takes only 10 minutes.
The new on-Airport Marriot Hotel with 194 beds is on airport grounds.
Aberdeen International Airport has a Main Terminal for scheduled & charter flights, as well as terminals for North Sea helicopter operations, and a small terminal (the Broomfield House), next to the main terminal, used for oil companies' charters.
The check-in area houses desks 1 - 20 and 21-24, as well as WHSmith, coffee shop, restaurant & internet kiosk. After security check you arrive in the secure Departure area with World Duty Free shops, food & drink, Travelex, internet kiosk, waiting area and and lounges*, with access to gates 1 - 5 and a separate gateway to gates 6 - 12 reached via elevator or escalator.
NOTE: Under Phase 1 of the Terminal Transformation Project, the Main Terminal opened its newly completed extension - adding 50 percent of space and state-of-the-art facilities. Phase 1 encompassed construction of a two-level extension to the south of the existing terminal building, with two new business lounges on the upper level, new security check area, immigration facilities, and retail and catering outlets, located in the departures lounge. Additions to international arrivals hall with improved passport control & baggage reclaim facilities and an extended floor space have also been completed. The new Domestic Baggage Reclaim Belt was the last project of Phase 1. While Phase 2 has already started, phase 3 is the last one to be completed. )
Amenities and services inside the main passenger terminal include business services, cash machines, currency exchange, food & drink establishments, shops, information desks, lounges, meeting point, smoking areas & left baggage, and free WiFi service with unlimited passenger network access

- Northern Lights Executive Lounge opened July 2017 near the baggage reclaim area - replacing the current 'multi-airline lounge'
- British Airways Terraces Lounge has a well-equipped combined business and communications center.
- British Airways First and Business Class passengers can use its Executive Lounge.
Present & future Airport developments: The ongoing three-year Transformation Project completed its first phase in July 2017 - expanding the terminal by 50 percent. The second phase is currently ongoing, followed by a third phase, with total completion scheduled for 2019.
