Athens Ben Epps Airport AHN is named for Georgia's first aviator, who started making and flying planes in 1907 and opened Ben Epps Airport in 1917. The Airport is open 6am-10pm.

AHN Airport is located three miles east of Athens, and about 60 miles east-northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, When traveling to Athens, several interstates feed into the area: Highways 316, 78, 29, 106, 441. All of these connect with the Athens Bypass (GA 10 loop). Take the loop to the Athens Airport/Highway 78 Exit. Travel east bound and turn onto Winterville Road. The airport is approximately 2 miles on the right.

Ben Epps Airport has presently no commercial airlines.

The passenger terminal at Athens Airport offers basic services and amenities, including rental car counters and check-in facilities, as well as security check area with access to departure gates.
