Getting Around EDI Airport
The airport features a two-storey main passenger terminal, making it relatively straightforward to navigate. Upon entering, travelers will find 47 check-in desks on the ground floor. Once you have checked in, you can proceed through security to the departure area. The departure gates are distributed across two levels, with 11 gates on the upper floor and another 11 in a connected pier building.
For easy movement between floors, elevators and escalators are available. Clear signage throughout the terminal helps direct passengers to their gates, amenities, and services. To ensure a smooth journey, consider the following tips:

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
EDI Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the terminal. The main security checkpoint is located on the ground floor, near the entrance to the terminal. There are also additional security checkpoints located near the gates for certain flights. Be sure to check your boarding pass for the correct gate and corresponding security checkpoint location.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who are looking to expedite their security screening process can take advantage of the Fast Track lanes at the airport. These lanes are available for passengers who have purchased a Fast Track ticket or are members of certain airline loyalty programs. The Fast Track lanes are located at the main security checkpoint on the ground floor, as well as at the security checkpoints near gates 4 and 10.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
After passing through security, passengers will need to go through passport control and immigration before boarding their flight. The passport control and immigration areas are located on the first floor of the terminal, near the departure gates. There are several passport control and immigration lanes available to accommodate the high volume of passengers passing through the airport. Be sure to have all necessary travel documents ready before approaching the passport control and immigration desks.

The baggage claim areas are equipped with conveyor belts and baggage carousels to help passengers retrieve their luggage quickly and efficiently.
