Getting Around FLO Airport
Florence Regional Airport (FLO) is a small airport with a single terminal, making it easy to navigate. The terminal is compact and straightforward, with all essential services and amenities located within close proximity. This layout ensures that passengers can quickly and easily find their way to gates, baggage claim, and other facilities.
Inside the terminal, you will find a few key areas to be aware of:
- Check-in and Ticketing: Located near the entrance, this area is where you can check in for your flight and handle any ticketing needs.
- Security Checkpoint: After checking in, proceed to the security checkpoint, which is centrally located and leads directly to the departure gates.
- Gates and Waiting Areas: Once through security, the departure gates are easily accessible, with comfortable waiting areas nearby.
- Baggage Claim: Upon arrival, follow the signs to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage.
For additional convenience, clear signage throughout the terminal helps guide passengers to various services, including restrooms, dining options, and customer service desks. Security & Screening
In this section, you'll learn about the security and screening procedures at the airport, including the location of security checkpoints, the availability of TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes, and the absence of fast track lanes. Additionally, information on passport and immigration control, as well as Global Entry enrollment centers, is provided. For those looking to expedite their security process, details on how to enroll or renew TSA PreCheck and take advantage of limited-time CLEAR offers are also included.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Florence Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. Passengers are required to pass through this checkpoint before entering the gate area. The security checkpoint is equipped with standard screening equipment, including X-ray machines and metal detectors. Passengers are required to remove their shoes, belts, and jackets, and place all carry-on items in bins for screening. Liquids and gels must be placed in a clear plastic bag and presented separately for screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
FLO Airport does not currently offer fast track lanes for passengers. However, the airport does offer TSA PreCheck, which allows eligible passengers to use expedited screening lanes. TSA PreCheck is available to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have passed a background check and are enrolled in the program. Passengers with TSA PreCheck can keep their shoes, belts, and jackets on, and do not need to remove liquids or laptops from their carry-on bags.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The airport does not have a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility, and therefore does not offer international flights. Passengers traveling to international destinations must connect through another airport with CBP facilities for immigration and customs clearance.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
FLO has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, meaning they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA Pre Check program. Passengers who are not eligible for TSA Pre Check can still go through the standard TSA checkpoint.

Global Entry Locations
Florence Regional Airport does not have a Global Entry enrollment center. However, there are several enrollment centers located within a reasonable driving distance from the airport. These enrollment centers allow travelers to apply for Global Entry, a program that allows expedited processing through customs and border control when entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an in-person interview at an enrollment center. Some nearby enrollment centers include Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
