Getting Around the Airport
Fresno Yosemite International Airport serves California’s Central San Joaquin Valley, which includes six counties, and the Fresno Clovis Metropolitan area. It is also the closest airport to the town of Yosemite (100 miles from the south entrance of the famed Yosemite National Park).
FAT Airport is six miles outside of the city of Fresno, and is close to Highway 99 (northbound take Fwy 180 exit; southbound take the Fwy 41 exit north & at interchange 180 east).
With 1.5M passengers in 2016, Fresno Yosemite Airport is served by a growing number of airlines offering direct flights to U.S. hubs in the West & South of the country, with connections around the world.
The terminal building structure at the FAT airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities.
The main entrance area has an information desk, ticketing counters, waiting area, restrooms, and baggage claim carousels. There are also baggage offices for United, Delta, and American Airlines. Towards the exit, there are rental car counters.
Post the security checkpoint there is a gate for Domestic Arrivals.
Between Gates 1-8 there is a Service Animal Relief Area, Mother’s Room, and Male/Female restrooms.
Between Gates 9-17 there are shopping and dining options, elevators/escalators, and Male/Female restrooms.
Security screening checkpoint is open 4am-12:30am, or the last departing flight. Past security the checkpoint are boarding gates 1-17.

Food, Shops & Amenities
There are various shopping and dining options inside the airport.
For dining there is Starbucks, Home Team Sports Bar and Grill, John Muir Tavern, and California Pizza Kitchen.
For shopping there is Hudson News and Gifts.
- Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to account for TSA security wait times and any possible delays.
- To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers should pack carry-on luggage in a suitable manner, have photo ID ready, and read all the airline guidelines properly prior to arriving at the airport.
- No unattended baggage will be allowed inside the terminal building. You must keep your bags with you at all times.
