Transport between Rajiv Gandhi Airport to your destination:  you can  take one of the waiting white taxis located at the carpak level (or call either Meru at 44224422 or Sky Cabs at 4 9494949), take a bus or the Monorail:

NOTE:  SHE Cab for women: Female passengers may now book these safe cabs at the Traffic Police pre-paid booth, RGIA. She cabs are equipped with safety features, are GPS-enabled and connect with the Police Control Room.

By Bus:
The new 'Pushpak-Airport Liner'
bus to the twin cities is a luxury air-conditioned express bus of red color, which can accommodate oversized baggage.   
Pushpak/ Airport Liner pickup points in the City:  Secunderabad (Near Sangeet X Roads), Tarnaka, Uppal, LB Nagar, DRDL, Secretariat, AC Guards,  NMDC (Mehdipatnam), Paryataka Bhavan, Begumpet; JNTU (Kukatpally), Shilparamam (Hi-Tech City), Gachibowli (ORR),  
The economical Aero Express is a non-stop airport shuttle - its buses run every half hour to/from several areas of the city & its various locations.
APSTRC public (non-airconditioned) buses also make runs to the City's various points, at lower fares.
APSRTCdaily coach services (tel. 040 246 14406 or visit: www.apsrtc.in) are avalable to: Vijayawada, Koruta (via Karimnagar), Nizamabad, Armor, Atmkaur (via Kurnool)

By Train:

Mono Rail Transport System (MRTS)
& Multi-modal Transport System (MMTS) both serve the Airport directly.

NOTE: Still in the planning stages are: (a) the Metro rail extension from Flaknuma to Shamshabad; and (b) an airport train from Secunderabad to the Airport, a 40-km distance which should take 25 minutes.
