Getting Around JNU Airport
The airport features a single terminal building that handles both domestic and international flights. The compact layout makes it relatively easy to navigate. Upon entering the terminal, you'll find the check-in counters and baggage claim areas conveniently located on the ground floor. The departure gates are situated on the upper level, accessible via escalators and elevators.
For passengers requiring assistance, there are clear signage and information desks available throughout the terminal. Amenities such as restrooms, dining options, and retail stores are strategically placed to ensure that you can access them without much difficulty. Additionally, the terminal is equipped with free Wi-Fi, allowing you to stay connected while you wait for your flight.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has one security checkpoint located on the ground floor of the main terminal building. Passengers are required to pass through security before accessing the boarding gates. The airport advises passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
JNU does not have any fast track lanes for security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to go through a separate security line and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets. TSA PreCheck is available at the Juneau Airport security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Juneau Airport does not have a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office, so international flights are not available at this airport. However, passengers traveling from Juneau to other U.S. destinations do not need to go through passport control or immigration control as they are considered domestic flights.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Juneau Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers to go through before boarding their flights. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through a faster and more efficient security screening process. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved for the program. Passengers who are approved for TSA Pre Check can enjoy benefits such as keeping on their shoes, belts, and light jackets during the screening process, and keeping their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.

Global Entry Locations
JNU Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on-site. However, there are several Global Entry Enrollment Centers located in nearby cities, such as Anchorage and Seattle. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To apply for Global Entry, passengers must submit an application and attend an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. Once approved, Global Entry members can use automated kiosks to complete their customs declaration and passport control process when entering the United States.

Baggage Claim Areas
Juneau Airport has one baggage claim area located on the lower level of the terminal. Upon arrival, passengers can easily locate their baggage by following the signs and baggage carousels. The airport staff is always available to assist passengers with any questions or concerns regarding their baggage. It is recommended that passengers keep their baggage claim tags safe until they have collected their luggage.
