Getting Around EYW Airport
The layout of EYW Airport includes two main terminals connected by an enclosed walkway, making it easy to navigate between them. The newer terminal houses facilities such as ticketing, check-in, and the security checkpoint, all located above the parking lot for easy access. This elevated structure helps streamline the flow of passengers heading to their flights. The older terminal, primarily at ground level, is dedicated to arriving passengers and includes baggage claim areas.
When you're inside EYW Airport, here are some tips to help you move around smoothly:

Security & Screening
In this section, travelers will find detailed information about the security and screening processes at the airport. This includes the location of security checkpoints, availability of TSA PreCheck and its benefits, passport and immigration control procedures, as well as information on Global Entry and CLEAR services. Additionally, travelers can learn about current TSA wait times and how to renew or enroll in TSA PreCheck for a faster, more convenient travel experience.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
EYW Airport has one security checkpoint located on the second floor of the terminal building. It is easily accessible from the ticketing and baggage claim areas. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
There are no fast track lanes available at the airport. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to go through a separate security screening process and avoid some of the standard security procedures. Passengers can apply for TSA PreCheck through the TSA website or at an enrollment center.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
EYW has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in the main terminal building. Passengers arriving from international destinations will go through passport and immigration control at this facility. The CBP facility is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm daily. Passengers are advised to have all necessary travel documents and visas ready for inspection upon arrival.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Key West Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers to go through before boarding their flights. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through an expedited security screening process, which includes keeping on shoes, belts, and light jackets, as well as leaving laptops and liquids in carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and pass a background check. This program can save passengers time and hassle at the airport.

Global Entry Locations
Key West Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on-site, but there are several locations nearby where travelers can apply for Global Entry. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at an enrollment center. The closest enrollment centers to EYW Airport are located in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. It is recommended that travelers schedule their interviews well in advance to ensure availability.
CLEAR Lane Locations

Food, Shops & Services
Key West Airport may be small, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. If you're feeling hungry, head to the Conch Flyer Restaurant and Bar, located before the security checkpoint. Here, you can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in views of the runway. After passing through security, you'll find a few grab-and-go options, including a Dunkin' Donuts and a Hudson News convenience store.
As for shopping, there are a few stores to browse before your flight. The Key West Souvenir Shop offers a range of gifts and souvenirs, while the Island Time Gifts store sells everything from beachwear to jewelry. If you need any last-minute travel essentials, head to the InMotion Entertainment store for electronics and travel accessories.
While Key West Airport may not have as many amenities as larger airports, it still provides everything you need for a comfortable travel experience. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport, and there are charging stations located near the gates. For those traveling with children, there is a play area located near the Conch Flyer Restaurant. Additionally, the airport offers wheelchair assistance and has a TSA PreCheck lane to help speed up the security process.

Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at EYW, passengers can head to the baggage claim area to retrieve their luggage. The baggage claim area is located on the lower level of the terminal building and is easily accessible from the arrival gates. There are several baggage carousels available for passengers to collect their bags. The airport staff is always available to assist passengers with any queries regarding baggage claim.
