Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

Marquette Airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. Passengers are required to go through security screening before entering the departure gates. The airport recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow enough time for the security process.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

MQT Airport does not currently offer any fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through a dedicated screening lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The airport does not have any international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. All flights are domestic, and passengers are not required to show a passport for travel within the United States. However, passengers are still required to show a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license or passport, at the security checkpoint.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

MQT has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for all passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for low-risk travelers. Passengers who are approved for TSA Pre Check can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and can leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To apply for TSA Pre Check, passengers must complete an online application and schedule an appointment for an in-person background check. TSA Pre Check is available at over 200 airports nationwide, including Marquette Sawyer Airport.

Global Entry Locations

Marquette Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on-site. However, the nearest enrollment center is located at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which is approximately 8 hours away by car. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, passengers must complete an online application and schedule an appointment for an in-person interview at an enrollment center. Global Entry is available at over 60 airports and other locations throughout the United States, including the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

CLEAR Lane Locations

MQT may be a small airport, but it still offers a decent selection of food and shopping options for travelers. Baggage Claim Areas

The airport has two baggage claim areas located in the main terminal building. Baggage claim for domestic flights is located on the lower level, while baggage claim for international flights is located on the upper level. The airport provides baggage carts free of charge for passengers to use while collecting their luggage.
