Monterey Airport has a single terminal building that houses both the arrivals and departures areas. The terminal is divided into two levels, with the upper level being used for departures and the lower level for arrivals. The terminal is relatively small, with only a few gates and amenities available.

Overview of Terminals

The terminal at MRY Airport is a small and efficient facility that caters to the needs of travelers flying in and out of the area. The airport is primarily used for regional flights, with a few major airlines operating out of the terminal. Despite its small size, the terminal offers a range of amenities, including dining options, retail stores, and free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Getting Between Terminals

As the airport only has a single terminal building, there is no need to worry about getting between terminals. All arrivals and departures are handled within the same building, making it easy to navigate the airport and find your way to your gate. The terminal is also easily accessible by car or public transportation, with ample parking available for those driving to the airport.

Food, Shops & Services

MRY may be small, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. The terminal has a few dining options, including a café and a bar, where you can grab a quick bite or a drink before your flight. If you're looking for something more substantial, there's also a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

When it comes to shopping, the airport has a small gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs and travel essentials. You'll also find a newsstand that sells magazines, newspapers, and snacks. While the selection may be limited, it's still nice to have some options to browse through while waiting for your flight.

In terms of amenities, Monterey Peninsula Airport has free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal, so you can stay connected while you wait. There are also charging stations available, so you can keep your devices powered up. If you need to get some work done, there's a business center with a computer and printer. And if you're traveling with kids, there's a play area to keep them entertained.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The Monterey Peninsula Airport has two security checkpoints, one located at the entrance of the terminal and the other at the gate area. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their flight to allow enough time for security screening. The security checkpoints are equipped with advanced technology and trained personnel to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

There are no dedicated fast track lanes at the Monterey Peninsula Airport. However, the TSA PreCheck program is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to go through a faster and more convenient security screening process. Passengers who are enrolled in TSA PreCheck can use the designated lanes at the security checkpoints and do not have to remove their shoes, belts, or jackets, or take out their laptops and liquids from their carry-on bags.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The Monterey Peninsula Airport does not have international flights and therefore does not have passport and immigration control locations. However, passengers traveling to international destinations from other airports should ensure that they have all the necessary travel documents, including a valid passport and visa (if required), and allow enough time for passport and immigration control procedures upon arrival at their destination.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Monterey Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. The TSA Pre Checkpoint allows eligible passengers to experience expedited screening, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA Pre Check program.

Global Entry Locations

MRY Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on site. However, there are several enrollment centers located within driving distance of the airport. These include the San Francisco International Airport Enrollment Center, the San Jose International Airport Enrollment Center, and the Sacramento International Airport Enrollment Center. To apply for Global Entry, passengers must complete an online application and schedule an in-person interview at an enrollment center.
