Main Terminal
The terminal building structure at the MGM airport has one main terminal building which houses all airport facilities.
The MGM airport terminal was put into development phases several times since it began its operations in 1955. It has been expanded and modified with an estimated investment of more than $40 million, a development program that successfully ended in November 2006. As a result, the MGM airport terminal size was doubled and the overall look of the airport was completely changed. The new additions to the airport included second-floor boarding, jetway loading bridges, and a rotunda with a domed ceiling that simulates sunrises, sunsets, and stars at night.
Also included in the new airport terminal design were escalators, elevators, jet bridges, and flight information displays, as well as new restrooms, food, and drink & shop concessions. Free WiFi can be accessed throughout the airport terminal. Volunteer Ambassadors roam the terminal offering assistance. The current business center has just been updated.
