Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport MNL - also referred to as 'NAIA' - is one of two international airports in the greater metropolitan area of Manila (the other is Clark International) and is at present functioning as the main international gateway to the to the Philippines and beyond.

NAIA is located along the border between Pasay City and Parañaque City, about 7 km south the city border of Manila, the Capital of the Philippines, and southwest of Makati City. The new 4-lane, 7.15 km elevated NAIA Expressway connects Terminal 1 to Terminal 3, links to Skyway & Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway, and to Macapagal Avenue & Pagcor Entertainment City.  A rapid transit bus system from BGC to NAIA ws completed in 2016.

With two runways and 39.5 million passengers in 2016, Manila International is at present hub for Cebu Pacific, &  Philipine Airlines. It also is served by a good number of major international airlines (including U.S. airlines Delta & United), offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

NOTE: In July 2017, 70 immigration officers were added to ease long queues.

Airport Terminal Fee Rules:
- Domestic passengers will now have the fee included in their ticket when making reservations.
- Transfer passengers need to pay the fee of Php 200 before boarding connecting flight.

The on-Airport Manila Airport Hotel is on Ninoy Aquino Avenue, near Terminal 1 & its parking facilities.

Current and future Airport developments:  While current upgrades are ongoing at NAIA as a  temporary measure to ease congestion - a new US$ 2.5B Airport is being built at Sangley Point in Cavite City on Manila Bay  to solve NAIA's  congestion problem. (Sangley Point was a former US Navy station and later became the Philippine 'Danilo Atienza Air Base').
