Airport Terminal Layout

ONT Airport has two major terminals - Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. Terminal 2 caters to international flights and is located on the east side of the airport, while Terminal 4 caters to domestic flights and is located on the west side of the airport.

Overview of Terminals

Terminal 2 at the airport is a modern facility that offers a range of amenities for travelers. The terminal has a spacious waiting area, free Wi-Fi, and a variety of dining and shopping options. It also has a separate lounge for premium passengers and travelers with lounge access.

Getting Between Terminals

Since Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 are located on opposite sides of the airport, passengers may need to transfer between terminals during their travel. To get between the two terminals, passengers can use the free shuttle service provided by the airport. The shuttle runs every 10-15 minutes and takes approximately 5-10 minutes to travel between the terminals. Alternatively, passengers can walk between the terminals using the pedestrian walkway located outside the terminals.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The airport has multiple security checkpoints located in both Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. Terminal 2 has two security checkpoints, one located near the entrance of the terminal and the other located near the gates. Terminal 4 also has two security checkpoints, one located near the entrance and the other located near the gates. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their flight to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Fast Track Lanes are available for passengers who have TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership. These lanes allow passengers to go through security screening faster and with less hassle. At ONT, Fast Track Lanes are available at all security checkpoints in both Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. Passengers who have TSA PreCheck or CLEAR membership should look for the signs indicating the Fast Track Lanes and proceed to those lanes for expedited screening.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and Immigration Control is located in Terminal 2 at LA Ontario Airport. After arriving at the airport, passengers will need to follow the signs to the baggage claim area. Once they have collected their baggage, they will need to proceed to the Passport and Immigration Control area located in Terminal 2. Passengers will need to present their passport and any necessary travel documents to the immigration officer for inspection. After passing through Passport and Immigration Control, passengers can proceed to the ground transportation area to continue their journey.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At Ontario Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to help expedite the security screening process. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible travelers to enjoy a faster, more efficient screening experience by using dedicated lanes and not having to remove certain items from their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved by the TSA.

Global Entry Locations

For travelers looking for an even faster way to get through customs and immigration when returning to the United States, Global Entry is available at ONT Airport. Global Entry is a program that allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to bypass the traditional customs and immigration lines and use automated kiosks to complete the process. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and attend an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center, which can be found at select airports including the airport.

CLEAR Lane Locations

At ONT, CLEAR offers expedited security screening services to help travelers get through security faster. With CLEAR, travelers can skip the long lines and use a separate lane to quickly move through security. CLEAR uses biometric technology to verify your identity, so all you need is your face or fingerprint to access the CLEAR lane.

Airport Lounge Locations

LA Ontario Airport offers several lounges for travelers to relax and unwind before their flights. The Escape Lounge is located in Terminal 2 and is accessible to all passengers for a fee. The lounge offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Terminal 4 is home to the United Club Lounge, which is exclusively for United Airlines passengers. The lounge features comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and a variety of reading materials. Additionally, the lounge offers a business center with printing and faxing services for those who need to catch up on work before their flight.

Baggage Claim Areas

Ontario Airport has two terminals, Terminal 2 and Terminal 4, both of which have designated baggage claim areas. Terminal 2 has two baggage claim carousels located on the lower level, while Terminal 4 has three baggage claim carousels located on the lower level. Signs throughout the airport will direct you to the appropriate baggage claim area for your flight. Once you arrive at the baggage claim area, you can wait for your luggage to arrive on the carousel. Baggage carts are available for your convenience.

Luggage Cart Availability

ONT Airport provides luggage carts for passengers to use free of charge. These carts are available in the baggage claim areas and throughout the terminals. If you need assistance with your luggage, skycaps are available to help you with your bags and to provide luggage carts if needed. Simply look for the skycap desk located outside of the terminal entrances.

Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)

The airport does not currently offer luggage storage facilities. However, there are several off-site luggage storage options available near the airport. These services allow you to securely store your luggage for a fee. Some popular options include LAX Luggage Storage, LAX Luggage Storage & Lockers, and LAX Locker Rentals. These facilities are located within a short distance of the airport and offer convenient storage options for travelers.
