Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The Sonoma County Airport has one security checkpoint located on the second floor of the terminal building. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow ample time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
There are no fast track lanes available at STS. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, allowing them to expedite the security screening process. TSA PreCheck lanes are located at the main security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
As a domestic airport, Sonoma County Airport does not have a passport or immigration control checkpoint. All passengers are required to have a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, to pass through security and board their flight.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Airport Lounge Locations
The airport may be small, but it still offers a few lounges for travelers to relax in before their flight. The Alaska Lounge is located near gate 2 and offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and free Wi-Fi. The lounge is open to Alaska Airlines passengers and members of the Priority Pass program.
The United Club lounge is located near gate 4 and offers similar amenities, including free snacks and drinks, Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating. This lounge is open to United Airlines passengers and members of the United Club program. Overall, while STS may not have a wide variety of lounges, the ones it does have provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for travelers.
Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at Sonoma County Airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim area. The airport has a single baggage claim carousel located in the terminal building. Passengers are advised to check the flight information display screens to determine which carousel their baggage will arrive on. Santa Rosa Airport offers luggage carts for passengers to use free of charge. The carts are located in the baggage claim area and throughout the terminal building. Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)
STS Airport does not offer left luggage services. However, passengers can store their luggage at nearby hotels or rental car companies. Some hotels offer luggage storage for a fee, while rental car companies may offer storage for their customers. Passengers are advised to contact their hotel or rental car company in advance to inquire about luggage storage options.
