Airport Terminal Layout

Tampa International Airport has a total of six airside terminals, labeled as Airside A, Airside B, Airside C, Airside E, Airside F, and Landside. Each terminal is designed to cater to specific airlines and destinations, making it easier for passengers to navigate the airport.

Airside A is located on the eastern side of the airport and serves airlines such as Delta, United, and Air Canada. Airside B is located on the western side and serves airlines such as American, British Airways, and Spirit. Airside C is located in the middle and serves Southwest, JetBlue, and Frontier. Airside E and F are dedicated to international flights and are located on the eastern side of the airport. Landside is the main terminal building where passengers can check-in, pass through security, and access airport amenities.

Tampa International Airport's terminals are modern, spacious, and offer a variety of amenities for passengers. Each terminal has a selection of restaurants, shops, and lounges, as well as charging stations and free Wi-Fi. The airport also offers a variety of services such as baggage storage, currency exchange, and a pet relief area. The terminals are designed to provide a comfortable and efficient travel experience for all passengers.

Getting Between Terminals

Passengers can easily move between terminals at Tampa International Airport using the SkyConnect train system. The train runs 24/7 and connects the main terminal (Landside) to all airside terminals (A, B, C, E, and F). The train is free to use and runs every few minutes, making it easy for passengers to transfer between flights or terminals. Additionally, the airport offers a shuttle service for passengers with mobility needs or those traveling with large items.

Food, Shops & Services

Travelers passing through Tampa Airport will find a variety of options for food and shopping. There are numerous restaurants and cafes located throughout the airport, offering everything from quick snacks to full meals. Some of the most popular options include Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, and Auntie Anne's Pretzels. For those looking for a sit-down meal, there are several restaurants to choose from, including The Cafe by Mise en Place and Cigar City Brewing.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

Tampa International Airport has multiple security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main checkpoint is located on the third level of the Main Terminal, near the entrance to Airsides A, C, and F. There are also additional checkpoints located in Airsides A, C, and E. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to go through security.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Tampa International Airport offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. Fast Track lanes are available at the main security checkpoint on the third level of the Main Terminal, as well as in Airsides A, C, and E. The program is available to all passengers for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. Fast Track passengers are able to bypass the regular security lines and go through a dedicated lane, which typically results in a faster screening process.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control at Tampa International Airport is located in the Main Terminal, near the baggage claim area. All international passengers are required to go through passport and immigration control upon arrival in the United States. The airport has several Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks available to expedite the process for eligible passengers. These kiosks allow passengers to complete their customs declaration and biometric scan electronically, which can save time and reduce wait times in line.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At Tampa Airport, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates several checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. These checkpoints include both standard TSA checkpoints and TSA PreCheck checkpoints. TSA PreCheck is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy expedited screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their bags. To be eligible for TSA PreCheck, passengers must apply for and be approved for the program.

Global Entry Locations

Tampa Airport is home to a Global Entry Enrollment Center, which is located in the Main Terminal on Level 3. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at an enrollment center. The Tampa Airport location makes it easy for travelers in the area to apply for and enroll in the program.

Airport Lounge Locations

TPA Airport offers a variety of lounges for travelers to relax and unwind before their flight. The Delta Sky Club lounge is located in Airside E, near gate 68, and offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The American Airlines Admirals Club lounge is located in Airside F, near gate 85, and features a quiet work area, shower facilities, and a selection of premium food and drinks. The United Club lounge is located in Airside C, near gate 75, and offers comfortable seating, a business center, and complimentary snacks and beverages.

In addition to these major airline lounges, the airport also has a few independent lounges available for use. The Club at TPA is located in Airside F, near gate 91, and offers a full bar, snacks, and comfortable seating. The Escape Lounge is located in Airside F, near gate 57, and features a selection of premium food and drinks, shower facilities, and a quiet work area. These lounges are available for purchase by any traveler, regardless of airline or class of service.

Baggage Claim Areas

After a long flight, the last thing you want to do is wait around for your luggage. Fortunately, TPA has multiple baggage claim areas located in each airside. Simply follow the signs to the baggage claim area for your flight and wait for your luggage to arrive on the conveyor belt. If you have any trouble locating your baggage, don't hesitate to ask one of the airport staff for assistance.

Luggage Cart Availability

If you have heavy luggage or simply don't want to carry your bags around the airport, Tampa Airport offers luggage carts for your convenience. These carts are available for a small fee and can be found in the baggage claim areas, as well as in various locations throughout the airport. Keep in mind that these carts are first-come, first-served, so it's best to grab one as soon as you see it.

Luggage Storage Locations (Left Luggage)

If you need to store your luggage for a few hours or even a few days, Tampa Airport offers left luggage services. These services can be found in the baggage claim areas of each airside, as well as in the Landside Terminal. The fees for left luggage storage vary depending on the size of your luggage and the length of time you need to store it. Be sure to inquire about the fees and policies before leaving your luggage in storage.
