Hi, I am flying from Montreal into O'Hare on Air Canada and have 1.5 hours to get my connecting flight to Tokyo (ANA). Do I enough time? Do I have to go through customs again? I will have 1 checked bag..
Thanks for your help.
Ed.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate in Terminal 2 to your departure gate in Terminal 1. There is a walkway connecting them inside security. You have enough time.
Thank you so much.

7 am united flight to Washington DC. One checked bag. Me and a child, both TSA Pre. Was planning on just before 6. Cutting it too close?
Eh with precheck it's probably fine, but I'd probably get there a little sooner because of the checked bag.
If we arrive 2 hours early to ORD, is that early enough for a Wednesday 5:42pm departure on United? Or shall we arrive to ORD earlier than that?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Thanks!
We think this is reasonable you will be fine
Thank you for your input!
I am flying out of O'Hare tonight at 7:15 pm (international) and have to check a bag. What time should I arrive?
Hi we would suggest you give your self at the airport at least 1.5/ Hours.
also please note depending which town you will be leaving for airport.

I suggest arriving at 5:15 or so.
I'll be flying to Dayton from Des Moines, layover in Chicago. both flights are with United. Is 1h15 layover enough? I am an EU citizen. Do I have to go through immigration again and re-check my baggage? Thanks!
Yes, that is enough time. There is no US Immigration or customs when traveling within the US (Ohio, Illinois, and Iowa are all in the United States). You also don't have to do anything with your baggage. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello
I am a Canadian, leaving from YYZ on a United/AC flight and connecting at ORD on to aUnited Honalulu flight. The connection time is 1hour 18 mins at ORD. Will that be sufficient? Will I clear customs in TO? Thanks
Yes, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Thanks. Will I have to change terminals?
You will arrive in Terminal 1 or 2 and depart from Terminal 1. 1 and 2 are connected inside security by a walkway.
I am arriving in Chicago at Term1 9/20 (from Calif) and have a connecting flight to Dublin from Terminal 5. I have almost 4 hrs between flights but what transportation is there avail. to get to Term. 5
The ATS Train runs from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 outside security. Just follow the signs for the 5 in an orange box.
I have a Sunday evening flight in Oct to Seattle on SWA departing at 7:45 pm. How early to I need to be at the airport? Is 1 1/2 hrs enough?
Southwest does not fly to Chicago-O'Hare Airport. They fly to Chicago-Midway.
Oops I meant Alaska Air flight on Sunday night at 7:45
Then get at the airport at about 6 PM.
I'm flying from Manhattan, Kansas to Chicago on American, then catching a connecting flight (Air Canada) to Toronto. Time is not an issue because I have a long layover, but I need to know where to go when I get to O'Hare.
If you have checked bags and your flights are on two separate reservations, you will have to claim them in the Terminal 3 baggage claim, then take them to Terminal 2, re-check them with Air Canada, and go through security. If you don't have checked bags and are already checked in for your flight to Toronto you can just proceed directly to your departure gate in Terminal 2.
Thanks, I'll have to re-check my bag. Can I walk from Terminal 3 To Terminal 2?
Yes, it's a very easy walk along the upper level or lower level curbfront.
I am flying in from Cleveland arriving at terminal 3. My friend is arriving at terminal 1 from Austin. We arrive within 30 mins of each other and want to meet to take the train into the city. How can we accomplish this? Can my friend take the tram to terminal 1 or is he required to go thru security and have a boarding pass to move from one terminal to another?
He can take the train to Terminal 1. But it would be easier for you to just both walk towards the train and meet in the big atrium where the train ticket machines and turnstiles are.
