I have a flight from Boston to Dallas, then to Lafayette, Louisiana with 55 minutes layover. Based on recent records on the website, it's very likely for me to run from terminal A to B and both planes are AA. Would it be long enough?
Yes, that is long enough if the first flight is on-time. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security.
My wife and I are flying Lima -> DFW -> Boston in August. Our flight arrives in Dallas at 7:25am with next flight departing at 9:05am (1:40 layover). Our flight from Lima says it is LATAM airlines group operated by American Airlines and our flight to Boston just says American Airlines.
Will we have enough time to go through immigration, customs, etc. and make our connection?
I've read DFW customs are some of the fastest in the nation...is this true?
Anyone with experience of this particular flight have any knowledge of the likelihood of our incoming flight being delayed?
Yes, in DFW you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skylink train to your departure gate. You should have just enough time.
Can you walk between Terminal A and B. Can you walk between C and B Terminals
The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security.

I plan to fly from Mexico city to Tokyo and transfer at Dallas. I have 4 hours for transfer and would like to meet my friend who lives in Dallas. Do I need to go through passport/security check when I arrive Dallas from Mexico? If yes, I can ask my friend to come by DFW and meet her up. Thanks.

BTW, I have a US passport, thanks.
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs when you arrive in DFW.
Hi there - I am travelling on American Airlines from London to Costa Rica with a 1h 30 layover in DFW on the way over and 1h on the way back. I will be in business class. I have a valid ESTA. Can you let me know if I will need to go through immigration and if this will be enough time.
Yes, you will have to go through US immigration, Customs, and Security both ways. 1 hr 30 should probably be just enough considering you're in Business class, but an hour will be VERY difficult.
Hello! I am about to book this flight from Guatemala city to San Francisco in AA and I have transfer in Dallas. My lay over is only 1 hr. 20 mins. As I am not a US citizen, I am worried if i could make it on time to my connecting flight. And in case if I miss it, would the AA book me for next flight?
90 minutes is the minimum international to domestic connection time in DFW. I recommend 2 hours. Yes, if you miss your connection, then AA will rebook you on the next available flight to San Francisco.
Hello, I am flying from Mumbai to denver. Through London and Dallas. I have booked all my flights under same ticket through British airways. Though London to Dallas and Dallas to denver flights are operated by American airlines. I have 1 he 25 min layover. Is that enough to make connection? Considering immigration interview, recheck-in of bags and then terminals change?
Realistically no, the minimum International to domestic connection time in DFW is 90 minutes with 2 hours recommended.
I am supposed to go to terminal C for the TSA pre-check interview, but I have an American Flight out Terminal B later today. Is it possible for me to ticket/check-in and check my bag in Terminal C when i arrive if I am flying out of Terminal B? Will this cause my bags to get lost?
That is fine. People do it every day.
Hi, I am a senior veteran from India and booked from New Delhi and arriving DFW by EY 0161 from Abudhabi on 11 July. I have to catch AA 0460 for Austin {departure time at 18:00}. How do I manage to transfer from Terminal D to domestic and does my check in bag get automatically transfered to AA0460? I would have completed pre imigration at CBP Abudhabi.
Yes, all you have to in DFW is take the Skylink train from your arrival get in D to A or C where your flight to Austin will depart.
Thanks, that means my check in bag will be automatically transferred to AA 0460 flt to Austin ?
Yes, that is correct as long as both flights are on the same reservation.
No. Arriving international passengers will have to go through immigration in DFW. You have to get your checked bag upon arrival in DFW and move it to the transfer checked baggage area in same terminal as your arrival. They will get it to your departure terminal and plane.
Traveling from Costa Rica, connecting in Dallas to final in El Paso on AA. Have 1hr25 min between flights. These flights were bundled on AA.
After reading some posts, it appears we may not have enough time. Connection is last flight of the day. Need suggestions on how to make a plan B in case we don't make flight.
Your plan B is, I guess, to pack an extra set of clothes and be prepared to sleep in the airport.
